Elevator Problem
I booked a stay at this Hotel and arrived to find out it does not have a working elevator. It has been out of operation for sometime yet they continue to book without informing guest of the issue.

The property is in a great location, close to the places we needed to go. The staff in nice and thoughtful. The breakfast room was clean and the food was great. The property is close to the mall and doctors appointments we needed to go to.

Unpleasant stay

Better options for the price.
Looked like a nice place, however my room was dirty and beds weren’t made when I checked in. There were no towels at all in my room. At breakfast most all food items were gone and not replenished, no coffee in lobby. Room key stopped working prior to check out

Good 1 night stay
Headed to big bend and flew in late for one overnight stay. Just what you need. Free breakfast to kick off the trip. Across the street from UTPB, tons of walking trails.

The receptionist was very nice and courteous. I was needing to check in earlier and luckily there was a room available. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was spacious and well lighted. The only thing that would make this hotel better is if the musty (odor trapping) carpet in the rooms was changed to a hard floor instead.

I love that the Fairfield is close to my Mom's house in Odessa so it is very convenient when I come down for a visit. The staff is always very courteous and friendly and the rooms are always clean and nice.

Unacceptable and in need of updating.
I have rarely written a bad review for a hotel, and never for a Marriott property, but this was simply unacceptable. We upgraded our room to the “Executive King” room. We were given room 301. The room smelled poorly and the sofa was stained to the point that we felt uncomfortable staying there-see attached photo of the sofa. The replacement room we were given smelled better but was also desperately in need of a refresh. Also the replacement room had a non-stop mechanical noise that kept us from sleeping soundly. Frankly, we expect a level of cleanliness from all Marriott properties that this property did not have. We drove several miles off the interstate because we often stay at Marriott properties. We were shocked at the condition of this property. The one positive thing I can say is that the receptionist was very pleasant and tried her best, given the limitations of what she had to work with.

Great place to stay. Beware who you park by.
Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. There were some large trucks there and parking was tight. I got my door dented by one of the oversized pickup trucks.

Was overcharged but money was refunded. Air conditioner in bedroom did not work. Hotel was notified but nothing was done about it. Pool was dirty. Don't use the laundry either due to no air conditioning in there either.
