It is central and very easy to get around. The staff are very friendly and breakfast was lovely

We had to move rooms due to first room having chewing gum stuck on wall, generally dirty and hair on floor in bathroom. Also drink all over telephone so could not call reception from the room..second room, a little cleaner but not great. Terrible road noise in night, windows thin. Not enougj pillows or towels, 2 for a famiy room of 4.

On behalf of the hotel, I'm sorry we fell below your expectation regarding the cleanliness of the rooms. We will address this concern with the relevant members of staff from our Housekeeping department. With regards to the road noise, unfortunately given our city centre location, we do find that some external noise can be heard during busy times. Again, we appreciate you sharing your review. Hotel and rooms very clean. Superb value for money. Excellent breakfast. Check in was swift and the staff very helpful and friendly. I would certainly recommend and stay again.

Very disappointed that they took a second payment from my card for the room. I explained that I had already paid and that I would take a screenshot of my bank statement as soon as I got to the room (I am disabled and needed to sit to do this). By the time I got to the room they had debited a second payment. They did not even give me five minutes. I did find a note of apology and basket of tea and 2 Tunnocks wafers when I returned later that evening but of course the refund took a couple of days. Great hotel, lovely staff, despite their suspicious, trigger-happy actions. One disabled space outside front door otherwise you have to use a pay car park next to hotel.

With regards to car parking, if the space in front of the hotel is taken, the Cleveland Centre car park does have many disabled parking spaces, all free of charge. Really clean, bright room and comfortable bed. The staff were really friendly and helpful despite them having technical problems at reception. Breakfast was complimentary and decent - plenty of selection, hot and cold.

Staff were first class, very helpful. Proper Kenco coffee in the room. Everything as expected.
