We loved the location so close to shopping and the beach. We loved the art deco neighbourhood as well. Service was great and included beach chairs and umbrellas.

Two blocks from the beach. Was very happy with our stay. Beautiful hotel and you are surrounded by great food options, even inside the hotel.

This is a small boutique hotel located 1 block from the beach. The rooms are excellent. They are not serving breakfast at the moment but you are not without options close by

I cant say enough amazing thongs about The Marlin. We were greeted with friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is clean, the room was great, the bed was comfortable and its in a perfect location. The restaurant downstairs has the coolest staff. They were so fun, we ended up eating there more than we thought. Franco and Dani took really good care of us and the bartender was super nice. We will definitely be back. Thank you for mak8ng iur time in Miami a memorable one!

My partner and I had a really great time staying at the Marlin. Everything was super seamless during our stay. The front desk staff were super considerate and helpful. The deluxe suite room exceeded our expectations! Some of the sheets were stained but service to get new towels & bathroom toiletries was great. Would recommend to stay here for anyone looking for a convenient location close to the beach.

Nice place, very friendly and accommodating staff. Close to beach, dining and shops. Only issue preventing excellent review is our air conditioner failed, and we were in high heat and humidity for a number of hours while they tried to fix (which to their credit, they were quick to try). They could not fix and we were directed to pack up and move to a (smaller) room. To their credit they did provide a discount. And to be honest, the room was fine, although a downgrade from our original. Given staff responses, they handled it as best they could, and we appreciated the efforts and compensation. Restaurant associated with hotel was good, not great; but offered convenience for some decent food (We had a lunch and dinner there).

I used the reviews to choose this hotel of the many in Miami Beach, particularly cleanliness. The reviews didnt do the cleanliness justice, its was spotless honestly. All of the staff are wonderful. It is quaint, well appointed and very comfortable. Fab location. Nothing to fault. I will be back asap.

Watch out for the bogus, non optional “amenity fee”. It includes a couple of small bottles of water, espresso if you drink it and a rather lame “breakfast” consisting of boiled eggs, croissants, muffins or toast. Better to just be upfront with the room charges and not add this trumped up amenity fee. Otherwise a very nice boutique hotel.

Initially we were put off because the address provided by Expedia (or at least the address saved to our calendar from the app) did not match the hotel. After parking and walking around the vicinity we saw the hotel and walked in. The hotel itself is charming. We felt like we were visiting Italy’s southern coast! The bedding was luxuriously soft. There was ample space in the bedroom and both bath room and closet were clean and roomy. Ask for a top floor or try to get one off Collins if you’re concerned about noise.

The Marlin exceeded my expectations. It is a beautiful and renovated boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful during check in and check out. The resort fee included breakfast, a nice beach bag, two beach towels, and beach chairs. The location a 2-minute walk to Ocean drive. I would definitely stay here again.

First time staying at this boutique hotel. Our family of 3 had a wonderful stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. It was very centrally located and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. The only problem we encountered was a non working NEspresso machine in our room but the waitress downstairs for breakfast more than made up for this. She made wonderful espresso drinks each morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again.

Nice room but horrible service
Overall it was OK. Check in was smooth. I had a few complaints. Breakfast was very slim and dint have enough food for the guest and no clean tables to sit at for breakfast and the staff for breakfast was not friendly. Also, for some reason they had a kid working there appeared to be with one of the workers and the kid was all over the place and yelling at the top if their lungs, which was very unprofessional to allow their kid there and disturbing the customers. I will not stay there again after these issues.

I absolutely loved this hotel. Very quaint, beautiful and peaceful with a great location. Although it’s right in the heart of south beach you don’t hear a lot of the hustle and bustle from the busy streets. I loved the theme, I loved the restaurant-THE CHICKEN PARMIGIANA was some of the best I’ve ever had and the on-site bar was excellent as well. The rooms were very clean and everything was just so well placed together and beautifully decorated. I stayed here for five days on vacation and I think I’ve found my new hotel to frequent when in the area. The Marlin is walking distance to so many other cool places and restaurants so you don’t have to Uber or worry about transportation much unless you want to go downtown Miami or something of the sort. I was able to walk to everything I needed within a half mile or so. The beach is literally like a 7 to 10 minute walk and they provide beach bags, towels and beach chairs. Alex the owner was pretty humble and pleasant along with the rest of the staff. Guys this is definitely a hotel to visit, I loved it.

Was pleasantly surprised how nice and comfortable this hotel was. It is very close to beach and having access to chairs, umbrella, and towels w beach bag was the best! The price was extremely reasonable. The room was clean as was the entire property. We will definitely be back!!

We would like some clarity in some of your comments about us not letting you into your room and the "notes" you mention please. We certainly apologize for the delay in your room being ready at 4:15pm instead of the 4:00pm check-in time, this is not normal and we pride ourselves on being ready well before check-in. As for the "not letting you in the room" I assume that may be due to the fact that you did register as a single traveler and showed up with 5 in your party for our standard room, per our policy and fire code, we cannot allow that. Again, we would love to understand how we can improve and encourage you to reach out to our management team so we can further assess what we can do to make this right.

Valet parking at $37 a day which I knew about but was also charged $37 a day for use of the amenities....there really wasnt any tht justified that charge. Disappointing.

The Marlin is one of the historic hotels on South Beach built in the 1930's and remodeled with modern conveniences. It is centrally located just two short blocks from the beach with restaurants and shops everywhere. The staff was excellent, friendly, and accommodating. My brother and I flew in on a red eye flight from California and arrived about 11 am tired and grouchy. The check in girl, Paola, said she would facilitate the cleaning of our room while we had breakfast a block away. When we returned, it was ready and we were so grateful for her kindness. How many places do that? It is usually, "Check in at 4 pm and don't bother me." Many thanks to Paola and the staff for making our stay memorable. Oh, by the way, this was our fourth time staying here.

It felt like a home away from home. Walking distance to amenities. The breakfast was a nice bonus. The car park was a far distance from the hotel. It was about a 20 min walk.
