We loved the room, location and the view from the balcony. Everything we did while we stayed here was walkable. My complaints are that I felt the property is misrepresented. I booked a hotel that said it had a pool on top. Upon checking in, we were told that we were in a different hotel two buildings down the road, so therefore we did not have a rooftop pool in our hotel. From our room (on the fifth floor), we had to walk down five flights of stairs (because the elevator never worked going down), walk down the street, go into the main lobby/check in area for the hotel and go up to the pool via elevator. I thought it was kind of bogus that the booking made it sound like the pool was in the same building as our room. We arrived at the hotel around 3:40 and the man at the front desk was very rude, and acted put out. He claims he was on hold (with the owner?) but I never even saw him dial a number. He said to come back at 4 and that there was nowhere we could leave our luggage so we did. When we got back, I was told that I needed to fill out our “pre-booking information”. It took me about 20 minutes to fill out. If he would’ve told me that initially I would’ve done it and been ready to check in right at 4. We didn’t get to our room til almost 5 when that easily could’ve been prevented. The stairwells had dead roaches and the handles were dirty. Room service must be requested, not automatic and there was a deposit hold on my CC the entire time I was unaware would be there.
