The hotel markets itself as "4-star", but I'd rate if closer to 3 stars. Their local Miami and 1-888 phone numbers don't work, and they don't reply to message via Hotels.com.
At check in, front desk attendant sent us up flight of steps with our luggage which he didn't offer to help with. We couldn't find our room, so we carried our luggage back to the desk, to learn that our room was in a different building. The other building has an elevator but felt less than secure because the door to our room had only 1 lock, & there's no gate or any security between the public sidewalk & bldg courtyard, exterior staircase, or elevator lobby.
In the room, the tile floor was popping up by the bathroom. Towels are small, thin, and coarse. Tried calling front desk but "number is disconnected".
Resort fee is advertised as $30/night but we were charged $35/night. Fee is supposed to include slippers, but staff didn't have any. Fee is supposed to include fruit at the front desk 24/7, but they stopped offering it a few months ago (they said we could buy fruit at CVS). It was raining one morning but the "4-star" hotel didn't have umbrellas (they said we could buy one at CVS).
Breakfast was 4 strawberries, 6 blueberries and 1 slice of toast. Restaurant service was slower than slow both days of our stay - about 30 minute wait for 1 black coffee.
At checkout, we were given the bill for someone else's room. We caught the mistake because there was a charge for parking, but we didn't have a car.
