Brilliant location and first class service.

Visited this hotel for last seven years for a reason. Best in Miami. Attentive service, fabulous location, and attention to detail make this such a great hotel. Inexpensive for such a fabulous hotel!

Pros: How clean and well maintained it was, and how friendly and attentive the staff was.
Cons: N/A
Location: Had its own private beach, close to shops, downtown area and delicious dining.
Great views, accommodating and friendly pool staff. Delicious food. The hotel was very well kept and clean. The maids were very attentive and hospitable. All around it was a wonderful experience.

Wonderful Experience at Mandarin Oriental Miami

Posted 31-Aug-2015
Pros: We enjoyed the facilities, room, pool, private beach and the service.
Cons: Provide information about alternative 'eateries' outside the hotel.
Location: As I mentioned earlier, because we came from NY and decided not to rent a car, it was expensive to explore the area with taxis.
Overall my wife and I were more than satisfied with the appearance of the hotel, cleanliness of the room, but especially the personal service of the staff. The hotel is situated on an island, though, and because we didn't rent a car, needed to taxi to local sites. It wasn't until the last night at the hotel that we became aware of a 'free' trolley system that connected with other forms of transportation, and outside restaurants. The two restaurants at the MO were outstanding. The climate, service, food and drink will be remembered for a long time. This was our 45th anniversary 'second honeymoon' and the experience was all I had hoped. I would add, though, that the prestige of the hotel, carries over to the cost of meals, and snacks. I was disappointed to realize just how much money we spent on breakfast, lunch but especially dinner. It was an anniversary, so I can't complain ... we just won't be headed back there again anytime soon. We'll need to save up, again!

Hôtel pour affaires

Posted 27-Aug-2015

Accomodating service

Posted 24-Aug-2015
Pros: Restaurant staff, staff at the entrance!
Cons: Room needs minor maintenance, drawers and cupboard doors.
Location: Easy access to downtown and Key Biscayne
We spent 5 days with our one year old at the hotel and the staff, especially in the restaurant were extremely accomodating to make sure that we could relax and enjoy our time. A huge thank you to them all!

One of the better hotels in Miami, no doubt.

Posted 21-Aug-2015
Pros: Well kept, elegant, a pleasure to stay in.
Cons: We had the double beds, but beds are on the small side, definitely NOT queen size.
Location: This hotel is right in the middle of Miami's busiest district. "Private beach"? NOT a beach, it's a Marina….that they fixed-up to appear as a beach.
Everything is top-notch, beginning with the service. Everyone of the hotel's staff is very friendly and receptive to any of your needs. We wanted to stay near the beach and "Expedia" offered this hotel as being on/near the beach. Well, it wasn't even close to the beach, so that was extremely disappointing for us. Further, the hotel is right in the middle of the busiest district in Miami; lot's of traffic (delays), construction in just about every corner, and irritated motorists constantly cutting you off. It took us almost an hour to get to a restaurant we had made reservations for, when all it should have taken was 10 minutes! Also, if you are on a set budget, do not eat at the hotel's restaurant. We payed over $90 for breakfast alone for two! Don't get the "double beds" in a room if there are three of you. They are advertised as Queen but are full-size instead. If you're going to Miami on pleasure, wait couple of months as the construction in the entire Miami business district is horrendous!
