This was our last night in South Florida before heading home. We wanted to see Miami Beach without spending a fortune. It is a well maintained property and the rooms are well appointed. There are a few quirks, like the office is actually a room and the check-in process is a little different - they gather a lot of information on you. When I asked about it, the person checking us in said fraud is very common in the Miami area. Our room was located next to the office. At about 7-7:30 pm, the office door was closed and locked even though staff were inside. When people checking in knocked on the office door to be let in, it sounded like they were knocking on our door. The last knock was at about 10:30 pm. The other noise issue was the big iron gate at the front that is locked in the evening. Despite the note asking guests to not allow it to slam shut, it did 3-4 times - the last being about 3:00 am. If I was to stay here again, I would stay at the opposite end of the office, likely on the 2nd floor. I think it would be much quieter. The traffic didn't bother me, but the main road is up near the office as well.
I was a bit apprehensive as this hotel is at a very busy spot but the rooms I stayed in on my two visits were both really quiet at night. The hotel has recently been renovated and the place is super clean. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and were really enjoyable to deal with.
The hotel was close to everything, Española Way, a great street for bar hoping and food. The restaurant downstairs LA FONTANA, super recommended, Horacio and Jorge the owners, great guys, super fun, excellent service and AWESOME food. I will definitely go back to this hotel in my next visit to Miami.
"Very nice hotel literally in front of the beach!"
Loved loved loved! Eating at the hotel is pricey tho! Drinks are $20 and up! Fitness center is very small and pretty much not worth it but Equinox is very close and the beach is there if you really feel like working out.
Other than that just really good!
Renowned for beautiful sandy beaches, exciting nightlife, and designer shopping, Miami Beach is South Florida's playground. For family-friendly fun, Miami Beach also boasts a seven mile sandbox enclosed by the city's boardwalk, which is perfect for jogging and rollerblading.
