We had three great days in Eger and part of waht made it great was Hotel Romantik. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, especially the lovely lady who helped us with making sure some fragile gifts were properly wrapped up (and provided omletes in the morning). The hotel was both close to the centre of town and the bus station, plus an easy walk to the Valley Of Beautifu Women.
If we are back in Eger we know where we wil stay
We’ve stayed at the Romantik hotel previously while visiting from Australia and it has always been a pleasant experience. The hotel staff are excellent and the morning breakfasts are most enjoyable.

Thank you, we are happy that your stay in our hotel was exellent. I hope that our city Eger was nice too!
My room was on the top floor and was a decent size, my only real qualm would be that the bed was a little hard for me. That being said the staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the included breakfast was good and served in a very clean, light and airy area. It is very close to the centre of Eger within 5 minutes walk you can be in the town's main square with all local attractions within walking distance. The town itself is lovely with a lot to offer in a small area, including the Lyceum, Eger Castle, Basilica and Minaret.

Great location, good value
This family run hotel is a convenient walk to most of the main sights in Eger.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast with plenty of variety.
We'd be happy to stay again.
Beautiful little hotel in great location. Excellent staff. Great breakfast. Loved the garden. No air conditioning which was not a problem as not too hot during my visit, but could be a consideration. Great value for money. If traveling from Budapest get the bus as stops 3 minutes from hotel, if coming by train get a taxi to hotel. Can't recommend highly enough.
Walking distance to castle amd market square. Hotel a bit to find when driving, but once you do the staff spoils you with help in parking and to rooms.
No elevator, but staff helped with luggage. Hearty breakfast.
A small hotel, very well located within walking distance of the old town, churches, museums, castle, restaurants..bedroom and en-suite on the small size, clean, opening on a lovely garden. Good choice for breakfast. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful and with perfect English.
This is a very small hotel very close to the city historical center. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was decent too. Unfortunately, the rooms do not have a/c but instead have a modern fan. If it's not too hot it will be ok but, nevertheless, the hotel description should not state it has a/c.
The hotel is very quaint. It is in a very convenient place to the walking street and other tourist attractions and easy walking distance to the bus station. Also there is a wine cellar only a few doors down that will show you their underground cellars on request. The rooms are small but comfortable. The beds are small as well so it's a smug fit for a couple but also comfortable. The wardrobe doors were falling off the hinges but we didn't use them, so maintenance could be mpeoved and there was much dust on top of the wardrobe so cleaning could be improved also. The bathroom is small but adequate and the breakfast is great. Pleanty of choices and a lovely room to sit in. The music could be improved on as they just play the local radio station and it's not always the best music for breakfast. Over all this is a very nice boutique hotel that was a great choice for us.
It was good overall, we were charged a "tourist tax" upon checkout and did not understand this. The location is great, and so were all the staff. Breakfast deserves FIVE STARS. Thank you for this hotel and location.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel as close to the walking area of the town and very convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the bathroom plumbing did not have a proper water trap so vent gases backed up into the bathroom making a bit of a sewage stench. That being said, I would still come back to this hotel again in the future.

Friendly but not Luxurious
We got the last room at Romantik on a busy week-end in Eger, so we couldn't choose. Biggest challenge was room had no air conditioning during an incredible heat wave (it hit 100 degrees). A portable fan kept us from melting. But staff was very courteous, informative, and helpful. And location is convenient to major sites in Eger. A basic breakfast included.
Definitely one of the niicest little Boutique Hotels we stayed in while in Cent Europe. The team there couldnt have been more helpful. Real Cute Building too! The complimentary Glass of Wine in the garden helped take the edge off things too...
Front desk clerk helpful. Close walk to all sites. Room dusty and dirty, mattress stained, mold in bathroom. Vehicle traffic outside made sleeping difficult. Would not recommend staying here.

Basic value for money.
A pretty basic hotel a short walk away from the town centre which provides good value for money.
cure little place...very comfortable. Staff were great, food was excellent and plenty of it. Good location close to the center of town. Very good value
The hotel is situated right in the middle of Eger and even has a private parking and a closed overnight parking - it was very convenient for us, coming by car. The hotel itself is not modern, and the bathroom recalls countryside conditions, but I admit that it was clean, warm, the wifi worked well, so overall I'd recommend it!

close to all must see sights
hotel was conveniately located within walking distance of main square and all must see sights room was clean outdoor garden and breakfast room were very pleasant surprise hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful
Two of us spent a night in this quaint hotel during a visit to sites in the town of Eger. Staff was very helpful to us despite the difference in language. Welcome glass of local wine, as well as nice breakfast in the morning were appreciated.
Despite the kitschy name, this was a pleasant stay. We had an attic room, meaning there were a lot of narrow stairs to climb, so we wished we had less luggage. The staff was friendly and accommodating and directed us to a nice restaurant nearby. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the historic city center. The breakfast room was the most pleasant we have encountered anywhere. Good wi-fi connection. The only downside is that we had trouble finding it by car, and the parking is limited.
Everyone working the reception desk and the breakfast room were very friendly and helpful, with good recommendations for dining and directions. Our room decor tried a little too hard to fit "romantik" - almost tacky. There was a step into the bathroom and a step in the bathroom which seemed an accident waiting to happen. But we had a private garden where we enjoyed a complimentary wine on our arrival. The pleasantness of the hotel out-weighed its quirks.
Lady at reception was very helpful even though she only spoke minimal English, other assistant a male was very helpful and kind, room was very comfortable and had the best size shower we have had so far, very good accommodation for the price, would highly recommend
Great accommodation for Eger. Walking distance to all the old town amenities. Staff speak excellent English and were extremely helpful on all requests. Lovely outdoor garden for breakfast and overall a great place to stay.
Stayed one night in Hotel Romantic. We were able to park our car in a secure car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. It has a really nice garden where we had our breakfast. It's very close to the centre i.e. 200m.
Well located small hotel close to the old town. Excellent room up 2 floors, but we were cheerfully helped with our bags, and even a couple of older citizens like us could manage the climb. They also had rooms 1 floor up. Very good breakfast in a pleasant airy breakfast room. Pleasant and helpful staff.
