I’m rating my stay as excellent because here you get exactly what you pay for. Clean and safe. Staff are very friendly. There is a market right outside the hotel, with lots of crowds and music however me nor my partner never felt unsafe in the area. Also, our room faced the market and the windows are completely sound proof when closed so noise was never an issue. If you’re looking for a place in the historic district for a good price, this is a good choice.

I didn’t end up staying here. Locals use this location for hourly uses is what this hotel is used for. It’s very obvious what was going. I Decide to not check in. My Uber driver warned us we were in a very dangerous area. Didn’t recommend we stay. The moment we pulled up he told us the situation regarding the hotel. Not safe for children. The area was very scary and sketchy. Someone approached our car tried to open it as we parked ready to get out and see the hotel. I can’t believe Expedia has this hotel as an option. No parking available.

This is our second time staying at this hotel, and for the price, it’s perfect. Never had an issue! Walking distance to the Zocalo!

We like that our room had 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed and 2 full bathrooms, building has elevator a nice view from the terrace. The only thing is that we felt a little bit hot in the room, it has a plug in fan but make noise so we opened the windows and my family got insects bites we didn’t see any mosquitoes so we don’t know what kind of bugs were inside of the room. Other than that we liked the place, is very close to the Zocalo & Catedral only 3 blocks, restaurants, shops are close too.

Nice small hotel at walking distance from Zocaló. Family room was tight for 3 adults but the 2 bathrooms were a big PLUS. Clean, comfortable beds. But no AC

Excellent location, not many places to grab a drink around, but hotel offers alcoholic beverages at the counter. I like the 24hr security, nice , clean and upgrade old building.

This is an average hotel with a friendly staff. The area is fine to walk thru and to during the day but at night felt shady. I still did it and encountered no problems. Lots of shopping and places to eat on your walk to the Zocalo. Sometimes the location of a place and it being kept so clean just makes everything that's not perfect forgivable. Such is the case for Hotel Templo Mayor. I would stay there again.

Great location right downtown, close to shops and the Zocalo. Do your driving early or late, because the streets fill with cars between around 10am-7pm

Bright colorful and comfortable. I loved the bathrooms! Water conservation faucets in sinks were fine. The plumbing pipes were not vented well and left an order that was controlled by keeping the door closed and the window open. No central air. There is no restaurant or food in the building. The hotel is located only three blocks from a very bad neighborhood but we felt safe. Is only two or three blocks to the central Cathedral and Aztec ruins. Beautifully decorated.

Great Zocolo Hotel near Templo Mayor Ruins
Stayed here for a 15 hour layover from San Francisco to Madrid. Hotel is centrally located in the Zocolo so we were able to walk to many of the historical sights. The terrace was a great place to rewind and enjoy a beer.
