Casa Cesare, not quite a B&B
We selected this Casa Cesare based on the wonderful reviews and its terrace. It's not really accurate to title this as a B&B since no breakfast is service or laundry service is available during the off season. Perhaps remove "B&B" from the listing? We were informed that no breakfast was served but only because I had questions about other tourist information in advance of our stay. There is an electric tea kettle in the room but not a coffee maker as described on booking.com. If you want coffee first thing in the morning (for off season stay) you'll need to take a 7 minute walk to the closest cafe. This is a private apartment and the owner is very particular about using the kitchen space. You are allowed to use a shelf in the fridge to store food but not allowed to use any of the plates, glasses or silverware. The terrace was closed because of repairs but the owner opened it upon our request. My friends and I were not as comfortable as we hoped because of all the things not available to us but it was very affordable. It was a great to be away from the crowds of tourists in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. The beach down below the Casa was lovely! And we had the best meal during our stay at Tavernetta Cinquantotto! Superb restaurant and not to be missed. Chiara, the manager for the Casa, is the best! She took care of all the things not available to us during the off season.
