Worst Hotel in Merida
This was an adventure. There was a storm in town the day of checking in, hotel lost power and had to wait 30min to get my room, before I realized that due to the outage, there was no water either. Merida that day was around 100 degrees. No a/c and no water at all. Although room was in order at a glance, the floor was dirty and dusty. The sink was clogged and water had no pressure in the shower. Power outages are so common in this hotel that the day of checking out, there was another outage. They could not check me out, no internet, again no water and no electricity. They say it is not their fault, but it is unbelievable that there is no a power backup for basic stuffs like going to the bathroom. It seems like every time it rains, they will have same problems. PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. Believe me, this is the WORST hotel, I've ever been.

Friendly staff, went out of their way to help me find a laundromat that worked on a weekend. The only complaint I have is that they would only leave us two towels every single time they cleaned the room, even though it was four of us -- had to request two additional towels every day.

The property was dirty and the beds were infested of bedbugs. I’m very disappointed of the services. We booked 3 rooms for the family and all 3 rooms were infested and dirty. Management was not helpful and they refuse to accept the issue. They offer to steam our beds but it was even worse. The room was more filthy than the ones we came from. Human hair in sheets. Mold in the bathrooms and stunk horribly. Boy at the desk said we brought the bed bugs and said he would sue us instead of being helpful. I don’t recommend anyone staying.

I'd caution it. Better options nearby
I caution staying here, while the location is okay and the front desk staff is nice the management is awful. Stayed here in a "suite" The room was not cleaned on arrival ... had a funny smell from one of the bathrooms opened the toilet and you can guess what was still in the toilet from the previous guest stay. I was disgusted and ask to change rooms but this was not offered. The plumbing is bad and the shower doesn't drain. The jacuzzi tub didn't work even after maintenance came. If you think that was it there was no security lock on the door as shown and one of the cleaning staff entered the room late at night without permission while I was sleeping. Things do happen but what makes it worse is nothing was done to rectify these problems. They lied to hotels.com and said I was offered another room. Who would deny a new room with these issues? Will never stay here again the whole place needs an overhaul.

The maintenance of the facility could be improved. For example, the smoke detector in room was missing but the mount was on the wall. An addition of a bar fridge would be nice for cold beverages.

The building needs a remodelación, all the furniture and the elevator are so old. The sheets and towels were gray and old. We don’t enjoy the night we spent there.

Nice hotel. Could use a nicer restaurant in the lobby. The room was beautiful and clean. Staff was friendly. No English channels or minibar in room. The pool seemed nice, however it was green during the time we were there and therefore did not use it. Overall my stay was great and I would definitely stay again!

Buen día Jacinto, Lamento mucho lo que nos comentas, hemos revisado el tema con nuestros departamentos involucrados para asegurarnos que no tengamos que colocar camas adicionales de tamao king en habitaciones de una cama, por otro lado igual hemos revisado con ama de llaves el tema que nos mencionas en cuanto a limpieza pues nos hemos asegurado de trabajar profundamente con la limpieza de nuestras habitaciones, espero nos des pronto la oportunidad de regresar con nosotros y con ello poder constatar que hemos trabajado en lo antes mencionado, espero hayas tenido un excelente viaje de regreso.

We arrived on Friday at 5 PM. We were told that our rooms would were not ready as they still had to be cleaned and sanitized. We went to dinner, returned at 7:30 PM and were told that our rooms weren’t quite ready. We waited for a bit and then told that our rooms were ready. Upon entering the rooms, they were still dirty. Hair from whomever stayed there previously was still on the bathroom sink. Trash had not been taken out etc. The rooms were not cleaned and the beds were not made the following day either. Tried to call the front desk but the phone in the room didn’t work. Needless to say, we left and found another place after the second day.

The property is old and in a very bad condition. It seems like maintenance is something unknown in there. I didn’t event stay in the hotel, because My husband have an asthma condition and he cannot stay where there is a lot of dust. On top of it when I told them that I wouldn’t stay there, but looking for some other hotel they refused to refund me the payment whic I already had paid for three nights. I recommend not to stay here for anyone else.

This was a good,comfortable, and safe area.. parking your car is on sites, which i loved.close to all tourists attractions..the room was clean but have to let room service know you need it clean every day due to colvid-19 they clean every other day..unless told otherwise..over all a nice room,comfortable beds..pillows not so great..bathroom has a jacuzzi..i booked two rooms and one didn't worked, but oh well .. Customer service not so good.

The room a good size and was clean. We had to let feont desk to clean every day,due to coronavirse they cleaned every other day unless told ..i wanted a clean room every day so we notified them..Other then that it was a quit area..nice for families..I booked two rooms,one room jacuzzi was not working..I loved the ideal that the bathroom had jacuzz! The people in front desk werent very friendly, bearly to to you if you walked by..its a older remodeled hotel...feels very safe,and secured

Almost all towels were originally white but now after so many uses, they all are gray and torn. Restaurant open late than promise and serve cold buffet. A-la-carte also served cold and late.

El hotel carece de mantenimiento y está muy descuidado, la primer noche no funcionaban las llaves del cuarto y me explicaron que era un problema con el programador, me tenían que ir a abrir cada vez q salía del cuarto. Pedí cancelar la segunda noche porque según las políticas se podía si se cancelaba antes de las 4:00 pm pero me dijeron que no se podía porque era la segunda noche( no entendí bien q tenía q ver , pero en fin), la segunda noche no funciono el aire acondicionado y me tuvieron q cambiar de cuarto. El personal es amable pero las condiciones del hotel están en su contra.

Nuestra primera premisa es siempre crear experiencias únicas con nuestros huéspedes. En cuanto a la programador de llaves y al aire acondicionado, ya hemos compartido sus comentarios con nuestro equipo de mantenimiento y sistemas y ya se esta dando solución a ello. Ahora bien, referente a la cancelación, debido al momento en que se solicitó, no se podía realizar como tal, ya que había transcurrido la estancia de la segunda noche. Ya hemos compartido sus comentarios con nuestro equipo de mantenimiento para que no suceda nuevamente. Esperamos poder recibirla de nuevo y demostrarle los cambios aplicados. Le deseamos lo mejor.

Facility was clean and staff very attentive. The only thing We didn’t like is that they didn’t advise that restaurant service was closed due to the pandemia, so we had to go out every day.

About the restaurant, unfortunetly we didn´t have it working during your stay due to covid, however we have our cafeteria enabled, and we provide there service for breakfast, nowadays our restaurant Casona is open again. Don't pass this one up!!!
This hotel was so great!!!!! It was clean the room was spacious and it had a tub!!! Loved it! Bed was amazing I was so happy with this hotel I’d stay again ! The only reason I left was I wanted more American stations on TV!
