A feature that will never be overstated is 24 hours a day of relaxing sounds of flowing water. This home is at the intersection of 2 bubbling brooks and with the windows open or closed, I could hear paradise. When we arrived at Villa Serena we instantly fell in love with the place. We drove in through this gated driveway to this large patio space when we spied our hostess Sonya on top of a grand staircase. She came down to greet us with the greatest friendliness you can find in all of Antioquia. After our greetings we received a tour of this home which she built and is rightfully proud of. We as a family had all the intentions to be tourists of Jardin, however we were enchanted by the serenity of Villa Serena. By the time we left Jardin any intentions to be tourists almost dissolved in the swimming pool. It was hard, but we did peel ourselves away from Villa Serena because we got hungry, and with Sonya’s recommendations, we ate at some wonderful restaurants both inside and outside of Jardín. We also had the pleasure to meet Sonya’s sister, Elizabeth, who helps manage the property. She is as friendly as her sister and is also very helpful with information about Jardín.
