There were many hotels to choose from in Mendoza that all seemed similar in both price and amenities. The Argentino seemed unique in its style plus provided a room with two single beds at a reasonable price and with a great location right off the main park. Staff was very helpful and spoke great English. There's a bar with beer and wine always at the ready. Breakfast is included but it's not exactly a hot breakfast. It consisted of large amounts of bread and fruit for the most part. The most “American” complaint I heard was that the cups were too small. For our part, the biggest complaint we had is that in the summer the room AC unit was not powerful enough to combat the heat of the sun against the window until night time. The room stayed mostly warm. But generally speaking, I can recommend this hotel.

Great location & customer service
Great little hotel right on Plaza Independencia. Friendly, helpful service. Small but cute (and relatively recently re-done) rooms. Price point is exactly right - you get exactly what you’re paying for here, none of the overpriced nonsense of the other “nice” hotels in the area. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was great for location and facilities - even better was the staff. Front desk folks were always ready to assist in storing luggage or giving directions. It reinforces why in the tug of war over hotels vs short term rental stays - Htoels - like Argentino offer so much more. Highly recommend

The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to many good restaurants, walking distance from the San Martin Park, a lot of shopping options close by. Was the right location for us that did the Marathon. The room was clean, simple…had what we needed. Breakfast could have more options like eggs included.

Pros: Great location walking distance to many places. Cons: Across frompark can get a bit noisy as the windows aren't double paned. The pool is tiny and very limited sunshine only around noon.

Lackluster room. Fine but nothing special and for this price in Mendoza you can get a lot nicer. The room was small and felt outdated. The bed comfort was fine and it was clean.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff who spoke English in case you don’t speak Spanish. Nice outdoor seating area for the day or the evening. Only drawback was that there was no plug socket near the bed.

Don’t take lower level room.
First room I was given had a very strong chemical smell. Was given another room on same lower level. It was a bit better but still smelt funny every time I reentered the room. Great location and good breakfast.

Great location and attentive staff. We arrived very late and were put in room 326, which had a great balcony. Good breakfast selection in the morning and a small bar for all times of day. Quick 15 minute taxi to the airport and close to a lot of restaurants, shops, etc. Definitely recommend.

My hotel room reminded me of a room in a trailer or an RV. My phone had no dial tone, and was not working for the duration of my stay. There was no hair dryer in my room. There was no tub in my bathroom but just a slight lowering of the floor for the shower, and the shower curtain rod was an adjustable tension shower curtain rod. It fell down during one of my showers. There was only a shower curtain and no shower curtain liner, and the entire bathroom floor fills with water when you shower. The room doors in this hotel make very loud noises when closed, and I was awoken by both guests and staff closing the room doors loudly multiple times. My room had a very poor connection to any of the Wifi networks available at the hotel. I notified the staff that I could not connect to the internet from my room, and they said they would look into it. The connection never improved during my stay, and I had to sit in the lobby to use internet throughout my stay. I was not offered any amount of refund for lack of availability of Wifi from my room. On a positive note, the staff are very kind, friendly, and the restaurant serves good food.

It's an older hotel which offers comfortable, modest accomodation for a reasonable price. The rooms are basic, but the bed is comfotable. Internet coverage didn't reach my room, so I had to spend a lot of time in the common areas working. That being said, the rooms aren't exactly designed for hanging around in. The rooms didn't have a lot of extra ammenities such as tissue paper, and extra towels. But for the low nightly cost, these are probably the areas where they reduced costs. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant was adequate. Nearby, there are plenty of places to see and eat at. The pool area seemed nice enough, albeit closed in a little in the back of the building. It's a nice enough hotel for a short stay, in a nice, central location, at a rasonable price.
