We have been coming here for 20yrs. This was our 4th visit. The ocean views are still incredible which was the only real positive thing to say about our visit. I'll begin by saying that the hotel is skimpy and is very understaffed. We had a Nat infestation in our room. The Samsung TV and streaming were not user friendly. The remote didn't work for our ceiling fan in our room, and they ignored our request for maintenance. They allow dogs everywhere. We were almost attacked by another guest's dog as we entered the lounge. The staff person in the lounge did not apologize and then told us there no seats available. When I pointed out that there were 5 empty tables, he immediately got on the defensive saying he was the only one to handle an overwhelming number of tables and that I should be patient. Sadly, we will not be recommending our family or friends to visit this place. After 20 years of this being our favorite destination on the California coastline, it was very disappointing to see the decline in amenities, upkeep and customer service. :( We are shocked that they are still charging the high room prices. We will not be returning and will search for another establishment where there is no skimping, and the details of communication, staffing, upkeep and customer service are still a priority for their guests!
