Quiet location but close to all the main spots to see in the Dandenongs. Room was warm and cosy and had everything you need for a weekend away.

Great getaway for peaceful weekend in the hills. Lovely lodge set in beautiful surrounds. The owner friendly and welcoming. Had the fire going for us when we arrived on a cold wet night, with great breakfast provisions supplied. Good location, close to near by local shops and cafes.

Presentation was faultless and the jacuzzi on the deck was our favorites place to be. Also loved the breakfast provisions, which were generous. Nothing to fault really.

Thanks so much for a wonderful babymoon! Private, stylish, fully equipped accomodation with amazing views, great location we considered taking the huge bath and shower head with us when we left! We will be back with the baby next year all being well, Thank you ❤

We had such a great midweek getaway. The Verandah Cottage was fantastic, outdoor spa was awesome, full kitchen and a comfortable bed - what more could you want! Internet was non existent but was to be expected in the hills! Highly recommend!

The location of the “holly lodge” is very good, inside the green forest but still connected to all attractions in the area. Friendly landlord that truely cared about his guests and that everything is okay with the stay.

Great location and very relaxing environment, however we found it a little annoying waking up by the jacuzzi in early morning around 6am as the jacuzzi just located above the bedroom. Both of us got bugs bites from sleeping in the twin bed.

Thank you for your review, apologies for the spa waking you up, the timer is set to switch off at ten and on again at 6am insuring the water is warm most of the time. The timer can be switched off if management new there was an issue. Our beds are checked for bugs and linen is stripped and replaced with clean dry cleaned linen from an industrial laundry. Mosquitoes are rife in the Dandenongs this time of year and believe bites are not from any bugs in the bedding.

A seperate heater in the bathroom would have made our stay over an unseasonably cold and wet weekend more bearable. Room a lot more cramped than we expected.

It was amazing- there’s this whole other world of pure blissful natural abundance and you are gently and safely introduced to it from the point of setting föot outside your suite. You’ll have all the facilities you need for a warm and comfortable stay. A good place to visit if you need to hit that reset button.

Seclusion in the hills
Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life 45 minutes from the City but you feel a million miles away. Very relaxing and quiet and room is cozy and very self contained. Internet connection is almost non existent but it adds to the charm.

Location and room are great. The host Steve was excellent. We ended being there on a 40 deg C plus day. The power in the whole area went down at 3:30 pm. After arriving back at 7:30 after dinner the power was still out. Steve was happy to let us go home early and give us a free catch up day later. Good customer service!!

Great stay in the Dandenong Ranges
Our stay at the Garden Suite of Holly Lodge was great. The suite was clean and cozy, it had a comfy bed and a very good shower. The location was perfect: besides the tranquil surroundings, the lodge is near great rainforest walking tracks and views. And the owners were really friendly and helpful.

Holly Lodge is everything and more. Sparkling clean accommodation that's offers a peaceful and relaxing time away from the business of life. Steve the owner was warm, friendly and eager to please. We'll definitely recommend and be back again.

Beautiful Lodge.
We enjoyed our stay at this lodge. The owner is a very pleasant and helpful man. One word of warning. At the present time the owner does not live on the property. Coming from Canada we did not have a cell phone or any other way to communicate. We arrived after 3 p.m. expecting to be greeted and admitted to our room as is customary when a reservation is made. No one was around to do so. Fortunately we were able to flag down another guest up on a balcony and he helpfully called the owner to come down and meet us. Otherwise I'm not sure what would have happened.

Cosy stay up in the hills
We were attending a family event in Lilydale and wanted to find somewhere close by. We found Holly Lodge and liked the look of it on line. Much to our pleasure it looked just as good in reality. At check-in Stephen was friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Garden Suite which was perfect for what we needed. There were plenty of provisions for breakfast and the room was clean and cosy.

Beautiful views from the back veranda. The room was smaller than expected but had access to the rest of the house. Which was clean and well furnished . Located close to Yarra Valley for those looking for a wine tours.

Perfect place for a relaxing weekend
The Holy Lodge is a perfect place for a romantic getaway and relaxing weekend. Placed on the way up to the hill and amongst trees and gardens, from The Holy Lodge you can contemplate a beautiful view of melbourne in sunset and the thousands of lights of melbourne at night. Beautiful view and very well looked after gardens around the property. The cottage we stayed was superb, very clean and spacious, with kitchen appliances to prepare a good breakfast or cook a simple meal. The table and bed was set up very nicely. It is a perfect for a couple to spend romantic days together. And the service was great.
