We arrived at District Fitzroy and were able to follow the direction to get the key and get into our apartment. The apartment was clean and rooms were decent size, however I felt it had been misrepresented, since we had been places in a ground floor apartment. The photos all show balconies and views from above, and apartments with views. However the windows in the apartment started at 6 feet so the only place we could look out was to a small 3 walled enclosure with "bars" from the slider. The fence was not high enough to stop anyone from climbing over to get to slider. I contacted management because I was there with 2 young girls and did not feel comfortable with safety. They did move us to a beautiful apartment upstairs, which generally goes for much more money. I did feel safer there, however the Wi fi and television remote did not work for the entire time we were there.(the Wi Fi was sketchy in the first apartment as well) Being from out of the country, this was key to our being able to communicate and make reservations or plans. Spent much time at cafe's for wi fi. The TV was no big deal as we were there on vacation, however if we had spent the extra rent, I would have been quite upset. On the positive side, we loved the Fitzroy District which had great restaurants bars and boutiques. We were able to walk into the CBD though it was quite a hike for people who don't Wander. But we enjoyed the location, being a bit out of the main city was lively but laid back.
