"The receptionist at the front desk, Mike, was great and friendly when we checked in. However, when he was busy not at the front desk, I asked someone in the office for my checkout receipt, that person simply said “You have to wait!” in an inpatient and rude tone, then shut the office door at my face without helping me?! The room was spacious, but the cleaning could have been more thorough: (1) some spiderwebs by entrance door, (2) no shower gel provided in the dispenser at all, (3) a big spider in our bathroom."

"The cabin was perfect for our week in the Smoky Mountains! A short 15 minutes from beautiful locations in the National Park, a half hour from all of the region’s attractions. And the cabin itself was great! A really comfortable spot for the two of us. And we even got to see two young neighborhood black bears (easily scared away, but be sure to lock your car doors)! It added a wonderful bit of magic to our time there. My only alert: the cabin is prepped with everything you need, including pots, pans, etc. — but it doesn’t have a lot of cooking supplies like seasonings, oil, etc. So bring that with you!"

"One word… MAGICAL!!My Husband and I have been coming to the area for years, and this is by far the best trip we have had. Jodee could not have been any sweeter and responsive. We have found our new place to stay whenever we come for a visit. We were a little concerned with not having 4WD, but made it just fine in our Prius. The road back to the cottage is a bit sketchy in some places, but if you are careful and pay attention, you should be just fine. The name “Storybook Cottage” is perfect for this home, as you truly do feel like you are in a storybook. We enjoyed watching the squirrels and chipmunks frolic outside, and enjoyed seeing the hummingbirds as well. We had a daily visit from a cardinal, or visitor from heaven as I like to call them. We even had some daily visits from some bears. That was by far one of our favorite things. We always go to Cades Cove in the hopes of seeing a bear or two in the wild, and loved the fact that we had them right outside the door to watch and enjoy. Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us Jodee, we will definitely be back in the future."
