Horrible, most of them don’t speak/understand English properly and rude. The receptionist lady was so unprofessional; she had a hard time comprehending and struggled to find my booking confirmation number. She even looked at the booking confirmation numbers in my email and couldn’t put the booking number correctly in the system. I was given a room in tower 3, floor 17 and room 19. There were only 3 elevators for each tower and no AC in the elevator. I was pushed by a group of 40 to 50 Indonesian, Malaysian, and Philippines each time I used the elevator. Additionally, each time I went down or up, I needed a minimum of 20-30 minutes to wait to get into the elevator. A day before my check out, I learned that one should not accept the room in Tower 3 expressly; this tower and villas attached to Tower 3 are given to the above nationals.
The room and breakfast were just okay, not up to the standard of 5 stars. I paid almost 1400 dollars for four nights; everything was crap against the money I spent.
People from room service and housekeeping were caring and thoughtful about their guests.
Overall, I don’t recommend Makkah Tower, nor am I returning to this hotel again. There are plenty of options around the area within the same price range.
