Also it grates to have paid a significant B&B rate only to be charged top up amounts for cooked items like eggs Benedict. Food in in house Trattoria restaurant is ok rather than excellent (you are paying a location premium) I’d suggest eating in Rabat"

We only had breakfast at the hotel which was very good with a full choice available. It is worthwhile walking around the districts adjoining the property where there are several villages wth small bars and restaurants . We found the local people to be very friendly. Many of the buildings are very historic and beautiful."

The hotel is right across the road from a bus terminus taking you into Valetta or anywhere else on the island. Behind the bus terminus is the ancient walled city of Mdina . Behind the hotel is Rabat with its beautiful streets , bar/restaurants, tourist attractions, shops & ornate churches."
