Ponderosa State Park is only half a mile north, where you'll find lake access, picnic grounds, and guided walks in the summer, as well as snowshoeing and Nordic skiing in the winter. Downtown McCall is about a mile away, offering quaint shopping, dining, and entertainment. Begin each morning with a coffee at Mountain Java or the Fogglifter, and stop by The Club McCall (half a mile east) for a quick workout. When you're done, you can take a stroll at Legacy Park, tee off at the McCall Golf Club, or go for an afternoon of ice skating at Manchester Ice & Event Center. Things to Know The pool is seasonal. The door & garage keypad gave us some trouble initially but it didn't take too long to get inside. It was so nice to enter the property to find they had turned on the heat for us. It’s walking distance to the marina, but we opted to drive as the traffic on the road was a lot. It has a great pool but beware, an older gentleman named mark walks around watching to make sure you don’t bring a guest to the pool. We dropped our stuff and headed straight for the pool as we were all hot. Our friends were staying down the road and asked if we could watch their kids. They had two you g kids as did we and I took them all swimming. Mark informed us that NO guests were allowed to swim. (It was my fault as I didn’t read the instructions clearly). So I apologized and we left the pool. But that did not satisfy him. He would not stop and kept being rude. The pool was empty nearly our entire stay. Thank Goodness this resort has Mark to keep people away. We likely won’t stay here again as we really didnt wanna use the facilities again due to rude owners. I will reiterate that it was my fault for not reading the rules. But again I apologized and we left to resolve the problem but he was completely rude. We were told by the manager of the resort that McCall is going through growing pains and a lot of owners are not enjoying the added tourists. We did not feel welcome at this facility. ##### Rylee C. So close to downtown and the marina. Sad note, the beds were terrible for us adults but we found the couch in the main room do-able after a few drinks. Very clean and everything we needed on hand and much appreciated. Great property and keep in mind every one has their own bed quality expectations. I personally sleep on a Nectar memory foam so the bed and pillows where unbearable for me. I would happily stay again and will but I will bring my own pillow at the minimum. Everything else was wonderful for us and the kids. The adults where the only ones to have problems with the beds. The property was all we expected and more. Very good shower. Cons: Property wasn’t ready for guests…dishwasher full of dirty dishes, dryer full of damp towels/linens, couldn’t get TV to work for 24 hrs, beds hard but saggy, bed pillows old.
