Love staying at The Stafford. Could not be more conveniently located. Rooms are not spacious but they are extremely comfortable and well appointed. Staff are friendly and professional. The iconic American Bar is not to be missed (but I would not recommend the so-called Caesar salad).

This was our first time staying at the hotel and we had a lovely hotel. The staff are warm and welcoming. We had a cosy room with a very comfortable bed. It’s lovely to sit and have a drink in the American bar and to have coffee in the breakfast area. We would definitely come again

St James's Little Gem
Tucked away on a back street in St James's this little hidden gem of an hotel is my favourite hotel in central London. I love it!

Hotel location and access to the Tube were unmatched. Lobby, halls, and room were well-maintained - elegant without being overwrought. Being at the end of a right-angle dead-end street, it was quiet. Staff were just OK. Not unpleasant, but I don't think I saw a single smile. I don't necessarily expect US levels of obsequience, but an occasional smile or pleasantry would have been appreciated (especially when a large number of the clientele are Americans). Of note is the addition of a considerable ( I believe it was £30 / night) "discretionary" service charge on the final bill. I had left a tip for the maid on the bed when I left, and felt that a total £210 for our stay was way too much. I decline the fee. I'm not sure what's worse - a discretionary service charge or the more common practice in the US of "resort fees". Despite this, it was a very pleasant stay.

Small hotel with excellent service. Popular bar and tea room take away from an otherwise tranquil atmosphere. Mews rooms overlook the outdoor seating area which even in November can be quite loud. Great location. Walk to everything.

The Stafford is a lovely respite in a busy city. The staff adhere to old world service standards, always greeting guests as they come and go and helping with directions and dining options. The public areas are welcoming with a quiet sense of luxury. We enjoyed dining in the hotel restaurant for breakfast and the historic American Bar for lunch and late-night drinks. The rooms provide a classic level of comfort, however our room was very small. The Stafford is located in a regal neighborhood, just blocks from Buckingham Palace, adjacent to Green Park and within walking distance to the West End and Regent Street shopping. Overall, The Stafford provides a quiet, well-appointed home-away-from-home while visiting London.

A hotel that is like home
The Stafford is always a convenient and wonderful place to stay in London. In the middle of everything, it is quietly tucked away from the hustle of the city but just a few steps to everything you may wish to experience. The staff is attentive but discreet and ever so helpful. Every visit is a pleasure.

The hotel is in walling distance from Piccadilly Square, shopping, tourist attractions. Concierge service is spectacular. Accommdations are excellent as is the food. The staff is amazing. There is nothing like the American Bar.

We always stay at The Stafford when in London. It has a great location, staff, and unpretentious high quality. Some of the rooms in the older section are small with equally small showers, but the rooms are charming at the same time.

Even though I booked a Deluxe Room the room did not feel like a Deluxe Room. We have stayed at other 5 star hotels in London and this room just did not compare. No fruit basket or flowers, exceedingly small room, television would go off after playing for approx. 10 minutes. The bathroom was like a wet room (I like a bath) no tub not even a tub/shower combination. The floor was very slippery when wet even with the requested rubber mat. Maintenance should have checked the plumbing as when you turned on the shower (you had to stand under the shower head to reach the lever) you were blasted with cold water. The shower pipe leaked at the fitting so you also received a spray of water from that. The toilet was a disaster as half the time it would not flush. My daughter and I felt as if we were in a episode of "Faulty Towers". It should be noted that I did not request a handicap room. We definitely would not classify the room we stayed in as a Deluxe room, it was very substandard. I will say that the staff is wonderful and the hotel is kept very clean. The location is perfect. The two meals that we had at The Game Bird were delicious and the staff there were wonderful. The Continental breakfast that we had each morning offered a very nice array of delicious food, but nevertheless this was our first and last stay at The Stafford.

We liked the hotel very much. As a matter of fact we are staying again on our way back home. Lovely hotel, very nice rooms, small but very nice. The staff is very friendly, although it is sometimes difficult to understand people from other countries speaking English.

Luxurious Stafford
The Stafford is a wonderful hotel that provides an exceptional level of comfort and quality. Everything from the beautiful flowers in the common spaces to the fabulous and detailed turndown service made our stay special. We enjoyed the perfectly prepared breakfasts in the morning and the fun bar scene at night. Located in the heart of Mayfair, it's easy to walk to Bond Street for shopping, to the National Gallery and Waterstones bookstore, as well as quick access to the Tube and buses. I highly recommend staying at the Stafford.

The best London stay ever!
As always, staying at The Stafford is like coming ‘home’. For me, it is the quintessential British hotel where one is welcomed beyond expectation. I was greeted like a returning guest, hugged by the wait staff who remembered me from previous visits and it truly was an amazing stay. I would not stay anywhere else in London!
