"Modern & great location."
Beautiful hotel, very happy with our stay. Drink prices for beer & wine at the hotel bar were way overpriced. We decided to hire a Mustang for 1 day through the hotel & it was returned that same day around 5pm. When my husband & I were checking out, the hotel had charged us a $30 parking fee. My husband questioned this extra charge only to be told by the staff, valet had to drive the car back to the parking area. This is something that we could have done ourselves. I would like to strongly advise Andaz, this is a sneaky charge & it would have been nice to have been advised of this extra charge prior to returning the car.

"Nice hotel but could use some updating. "
The lobby is rather underwhelming and the elevators were way too far to walk to. Our room had a view of the hills and parking lots with huge solar panels just below us. We could see the ocean if we leaned over our balcony and looked to the right. Not quite what we were expecting. The decor was tropical but a bit tired looking. It was clean enough. The traffic noise at night from the highway was disappointing. Also, we could hear everything from the rooms around us...not good. Very poor lighting in the bathroom with no makeup mirror! I couldn't see what I was doing.
