"Nice hotel close to the beach. Limited facilities."
Overall nice hotel, things are nice and new, it looks very good. There is a resort fee per night (which you can't escape), but they don't offer too many amenities or perks with this charge. It's a standard hotel, no kitchen/kitchenette. Bathrooms are fully stocked, which is great. Bell staff/concierge won't let customers fill their water bottle with the water offered to hotel guests at the front; they insist us to only pour it into the glass, which is ridiculous.

Lower end hotel...not bad at all...I have stayed here before for a week....it is centrally located to all points on the island...I stayed most of this stay in the kaanapali area...but I like this area better...due to location...

"Beautiful hotel on the beach"
The hotel has very nice beach, and super nice swimming pool. my daughter loves Swimming through the pathways between pools, and go down the slides. We are also delighted to see the different birds on the hotel property. It is a nice short drive to go to Lahaina as well.

"Top notch hotel"
Hotel has everything you need, great beach and walking distance to shopping. They will transport you also to close places for free. The service staff is excellent. Saw one waitress on first night and not again until 10 days later and she remembered us and where we were from. The only bad thing I can say about the hotel is the restaurants are very expensive for what you get. The service at restaurants and ambience is great. Almost all food is expensive in Maui. This can be worked slightly around by driving or walking to some close good restaurants. If making this a once in a lifetime trip you can't go wrong. Wish we were still there!

"Excellent Place to Relax on The Beach"
We thought the room was amazing. Beautiful devor and comfy bed. It had a fully stocked kitchen, so if you choose to eat in you had all the tools to do so. When we walked out the lanai door, we were close to the pool, and within 100' of the beach. The pool was beautiful, well maintained and refreshing. There were two pools and hot tubs. The pool colse to us adjoined the Castaway cafe. The Castaway Cafe, had a great selection and quality of food, an amazing wine selection, an excellent staff, and it was perfectly located on the beach so we could watch the whales playing and breaching in the bay in the day time, or enjoy the peaceful crashing of waves at night. The beach was amazing, and there was a shack where you could rent snorkel gear, paddle boards, beach cabanas, etc. Overall we loved the experience and are already planning on going back.

"Hotel right on the beach with walking trails"
Great resort with lots of extras. Ocean view. Friendly staff. The grounds were easily accessible without a car to shops, grocery, restaurants, and activities. We were able to run anywhere between 2-8 miles with ocean views. Great location to discover west Maui. You could see whales and turtles from your room or right off the beach. Great place to stay!

Loved the amenities like the pool and jacuzzi. The food was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we want to especially mention Hayley who was one of the nicest most helpful staff members. We liked her so much and wanted to tell her but she was not working the day we left.

"Nice, but....."
Beautiful oceanfront condo complex. Large with nice pools and family friendly features. Beach is good, not great. There are rocks, a drop off and beach isn't very large. Snorkeling isn't great. Checking in the staff was friendly, but not helpful. There was an issue with my name not being on the reservation and they would not let me check-in, even though I made the reservations and they were paid with my credit card (they knew all that-they could see it). They wouldn't lift a finger to call Expedia or a manager. The only solution was to get my husband and adult children out of the vehicle and have them check into the rooms. Everyone got a welcome voucher (except me). They told me I should call Expedia and complain that my name got left off. I understand that they didn't make the reservation directly, but you would think that with me renting 4 rooms for 7 days that I would have mattered to them for at least a phone call to clear it up, but no, they just let me sit there while the rest of my family were cared for. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE LADIES!!!!! TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS - ALL OF THEM!!!!

Pocket Guide: Hotels with Pool Hotels in Maui Island

Hotels with Pools on Maui Island

The vast majority of Maui Island’s hotels have pools to make the most of the island’s year-round good weather. Head for the largest Maui resorts of Wailea and Lahaina, or to the northwest coastal towns of Kaanapali and Kapalua. Choose from mid-range B&Bs or self-catering condos to luxury all-inclusive beach or golf resorts with pools.

What Else to Do at Maui’s Hotels with Pools

As well as swimming pools, Maui’s hotels often have access to golf courses and beaches and full-service spas and fitness centres. But if you’d prefer to unwind and sip on cocktails, many of Maui’s hotel pools have adult-only swim-up bars, almost the definition of decadence.

For hotels with pools in Maui, you might stay in a four- or five-star internationally renowned brand hotel – think Four Seasons, Hyatt, Ritz Carlton – that tap into Hawaiian traditions and culture in their swimming-pool design, providing cabanas and sun loungers. Some have infinity pools with views stretching out across the Pacific, others have tastefully designed children’s pools with slides just steps from world-class golf courses, keeping everyone happy.

Beaches near Maui Island’s Pool Hotels

Pick a hotel with a pool in Kaanapali to be close to a number of Maui’s popular beaches, including the mile-long D.T. Fleming Beach Park, which is a great spot for swimming, surfing and snorkelling. Make use of one of the public barbecues on the beach while the sun goes down. After dinner, pull up a stool at one of its many bars to enjoy a refreshing cocktail.

Along on Kaanapali Beach, join the crowds each evening watching the legendary cliff diving. And in the evening, make your way to Whalers Village for some high-street shopping, modern restaurants and island entertainment under one roof.

The southern end of Hanakaoo Beach Park is popular with snorkellers, though the beach is better known as a canoeing hotspot. The beach hosts most of Maui Island’s major canoe competitions and races, and from your sun lounger you can watch many canoers practicing off the coast.

From decadent adult-only pools to fun-filled pools with slides for the whole family, there are hotels across Maui to suit water babies of all ages.
