"Beautiful and close to everything "
Grounds were beautiful and breakfast (included) and dinner were tasty. We were too busy to take part in the yoga but the facilities looked perfect. Rooms were nice and the porch just right to relax on in the afternoon. Pool was nice and hot tub just what was needed after a long hike. The second bed slightly small for two teenagers but otherwise a lovely stay - would come again.

"Relaxing retreat"
the location up in the mountain with a view of the ocean was wonderful. Sitting out on the lanai having coffee in the morning was one of my favourite things. So peaceful. oh, and the homemade breads in the morning were so delicious. A great place to relax in the middle of our Hawaiian vacation and just take in the beauty. We actually took a full day there to just relax & enjoy the surroundings. Great spot to view the amazing sunsets. You deserve to treat yourself to this wonderful spa like retreat.

"Exceptional stay in a gorgeous location"
What a tremendous property! We were truly thrilled with the amazing quality of this condo, amazing location & tremendous views. We have stayed at most of the hotels along Wailea beach & this was out of this world & we will only be staying here from now on. The condo was beautifully decorated, had lovely upscale finishes, everything you could ever want in a vacation home or hotel, excellent location, and views for days. Staff was very attentive, professional, let you enjoy the serenity this place had to offer, but also seemed to know what you needed before you even did. We will definitely be back!

"A very nice quiet,relaxed atmosphere."
There were turtles on the beach.A bonus was listening to someone playing the ukulele all evening, very soothing, sitting on the lanai, looking at the ocean and listening to the sounds of the ocean waves.

"good hotel in kihei"
better for couples or adults, not a real "resort" hotel such as those in Wailea, although they have a decent pool, access to bikes, and good workout facility

"Beautiful view of the ocean with easy access. "
I would go back to Napili Kai in a hot minute. Beautiful grounds, wonderful pools, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and easy access to my two favorite beaches in the world- Kapalua and Napili Bay. Not to mention the free Lei making, the Mai Tai party and the slack key guitar concert. Also close to The Gazebo, a restaurant that feature macadamia nut pancakes. Yummy!

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. First time in Maui and location great! Walk to beaches for body surfing & snorkling, hiking and walking trails. Also saw whales from hotel property! Got delicious inexpensive meals at Honolua Market up the street. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Ritz-Carlton.

Pocket Guide: Boutique Hotels in Maui Island

    Maui Island’s Boutique Hotels

For a luxury stay on Maui Island, choose one of its many stylish boutique hotels. Maui’s elegant four- and five-star boutique hotels offer a personable service, deluxe comforts and facilities designed to help you fully enjoy your stay.

Take a dip in an outdoor pool with fantastic ocean views or indulge in a treatment in your boutique hotel’s full-service spa. Beachside restaurants and bars serve traditional Hawaiian dishes in convivial settings.

Maui’s boutique hotels have a refined style that flows through to your room, with deluxe deep-soaking tub and furnished balconies. Spread across your pillow top bed while planning the next day’s itinerary on free WiFi.

    Boutique Stays on Maui Island

Choose a boutique hotel in Lahaina for a buzzy small-town atmosphere with scenic bays and beaches suitable for both bathers and water-sport enthusiasts. The historic shop fronts and old-style architecture give Lahaina a vintage feel, though there’s still a good mix of contemporary bars and traditional island culture.

You can also find plenty of upscale boutique hotels in Wailea, Maui Island’s premium resort location. Some hotels in Wailea run photography and painting courses lead by artists in residence, and you can enjoy a guided tour through the largest resort art collection in Maui at the NaPua Gallery. Guided walks along the coastal nature trail get your out into the natural beauty of Maui.

The Best Beaches on Maui Island

It’s just a ten-minute drive from Lahaina to get to Kaanapali Beach, a three-mile stretch of white sand popular with sun lovers and swimmers. Join the crowds that surround the Black Rock outcrop each night to see a traditional diving ceremony.

Lined by a number of hotels, Wailea Beach can attract the crowds, but head to the southern end of the beach for quieter sands as well as lava outcrops suitable for snorkelling. After a dip in the ocean, take advantage of the barbecue grills and enjoy a snack in the picnic area.

For something a bit different before returning to your boutique hotel, go to Little Beach on a Sunday to see the sunset celebrations with fire twirlers, fire walkers and a unique party atmosphere until the sun drops.
