Very relaxing, beautiful rooms with great view of sunrise right from bed. Hotel manager was very welcoming & checked in with us each day. Thank you for a great stay!

The hotel property is well situated with views to the central peaks and on a great stretch of beach. Room / overwater bungalow was spacious and comfortable.

Impressive but not perfect

Pros: Although the hotel was almost full, you never see anyone, anywhere: you have the beach for yourself, no lines, and lots of privacy
Cons: Eliminate charges such as shuttle boat to the sister hotel (Intercontinental Talahaso). If free we would have gone there to have diner or some drinks
Location: Picture-perfect view from the hotel, pleasant walks to restaurants nearby.
This is our second stay at this hotel. First time was a few years ago, under different management. We think it went from excellent to just good. Note that some problems are not due to the hotel, but to the island: overall, Bora Bora seems too expensive for what it has to offer and you have the feeling that all tourism companies are fixing prices like similar -and very high- prices for restaurants of widely different quality, t-shirts for $30+ anywhere in the island, chinese-made souvenirs costing 5 times what you pay in Hawaii for a similar item (like refrigerator magnets for $10 US a piece)

Heaven On Earth!! Amazing

After doing a lot of research we decided to stay at the Intercontinental Le Moana, because we wanted to be on the main island. Picking this resort was the best decision we made. It is overall a beautiful property and the rooms are wonderful. Kevin at guest services and Stephen in concierge went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. When we arrived at 10am our desired room was not ready. That did not stop them from being very accommodating. Kevin quickly not only placed us in a beach front room for one night but also gave us quite a few comps and discounts. We were more then taken care of. On one occasion when my wife and me were going to the sister property for our spa appointment, we missed the boat that was supposed to take us there. Stephen from concierge went above and beyond and arranged a private shuttle to take us to Thalaso. Pros: The property and employees are great. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Lots of free stuff to use (kayak's, Paddle boards, Snorkels, board games etc) Reasonable prices Cons: Not much to do on rainy days. No English channels on TV except for CNN. Bring your own DVD's. They have DVD, CD player in the room but don't have a place to rent or sell DVD's. Tip: We used a photographer to take professional pictures of us and that was also a great decision. His name is Stephan Debelle, he was very affordable and has a contract with the hotel so we were able to room charge it.

Beautiful location, just so long as it isn't windy

The roof exceeded our expectations. The staff were always very friendly. The wind at this location does tend to restrict your activities, where if you walk 100 metres across to Matira beach it is perfectly calm. The wind is the main disadvantage at this resort. Room service times are significantly limited, as are the bar opening times and there is a surcharge for room service! Nothing happening after 10.30pm and everything is closed up.

See the fish

Lovely accommodations and staff service. Really also enjoyed the view of sea life thru the floor. Only negative - the bed pillows were too flat. I know I could have ordered others, but think the ones we had were just old. Appreciated the late checkout since our plane left about 5:30.
