"Great little hotel in the centre of Nice, do visit"
Saw this hotel on Trip Adviser and was unsure of its location as it looked further back from the Promenade des Anglais. Need not have worried the location was perfect, only 5 minutes walk to the promenade and just yards from a fabulous restaurant Le Baccheus and next to that a great restaurant serving crepes. Best of all, turn right out of the hotel and you will find a supermarket on your doorstop which has everything you need. The hotel was literally 100 yards to all the main restaurants which are plentiful. Watch out for huge portions when ordering food in many places. The hotel staff were lovely, all very welcoming and friendly. We had a smallish room (my room at home is large) but once we were there a couple of nights it was absolutely fine. The room was spotlessly clean and promptly attended each day. First impression of the room was that it was not 4 star, as it was small and neither did it have toiletries provided other than one large bottle of bath/shampoo in the bath. However we soon forgot about that. There is a kitchen area in the main hotel lobby which is there for hotel guests to use. We did not use it and neither did we see others using it during our stay but it is there should you wish to make tea or use a microwave. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room which was not available in other hotels we looked at. Bring your own mugs, I forgot despite reading the advice on TA. Only have paper cups in room. Recommend this hotel unreservedly.
We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, all staff friendly and courteous and the hotel was just a few minutes walk from the beach, the Place Massena (main square) and the old town featuring loads of great restaurants.
We had a fantastic stay in Nice so much to see its very busy and lively. Great food so many places to choose from (Go to Citrus) its in the lanes its a new restaurant nice menu, lovely food, great service well worth it. We also went on day trips by boat to St Tropaz and Monaco. Monaco is beautiful. We then went by train to Cannes and a place called Eze, well worth the trip. Cannes has a lovely sandy beach its about about forty minutes on the train and costs about fourteen euros return. You can go lots of places on the bus it only costs one euro fifty but they get very busy. Will be returning very soon.
Very friendly reception staff, very helpful and we were given after check-in maps to show us what's nice to see.
Our room was very tidy each evening- spotless. We could not fault it. Huge bathroom which we were quite surprised about and loads of towels.
A bit far however especially as we only stayed 3 nights. But nice cafe next door for drinks/ breakfasts. We enjoyed our stay there.
This hotel is ideal for visiting Nice .Every boxes get ticked ,it was clean and comfortable .the staff were lovely,it was ideally situated for restraunts the old town ,the promenade.I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.
Nice's main square, Place Masséna is lined with palm trees and pines and is known as a place to meet and for hosting many important public events. Often used for concerts thanks to its size and central location, it is also a favorite spot during festivals and traditional celebrations like the yearly carnival parade in February. The old town and the Promenade des Anglais are a short stroll away.
