not bad overall but sketchy neighbors

Posted 02-Sep-2017
Pros: location, black-out curtains, on a quiet street, decent size double bed for 2,
Cons: wish the bathroom counter be bigger and more room! bigger room! separate families from tourists in different areas
Location: Regent's Street, shops, restaurants,
Hotel location is unbeatable! Very close to Regent's street. The hotel itself is in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was facing an office building and it's very quiet. Love their black-out curtains! Make a huge difference and definitely helped with sleep. I've stayed at many Holiday Inn's across world and facilities of this one are very basic. Probably because it's in London. One thing that keep me from giving a 5 is that during our stay in August we found that people who stay here look a bit sketchy. We constantly heard baby screaming/crying. After some detective work, we found the noise coming from a unit which has 2 women + 2 small kids + 1 man in their room. The unit is not immediate next to us but there were 2 staff only units between us and we can still hear them! They also let theirs kids out play in the open space near fire stairs! You can imagine a ton of noise from those kids in the common area! After we complained to the front desk, they told us "those are long-term stay people". They showed us a few other rooms on different sides of the building. We checked out those areas and also noticed there was baby crying/screaming coming out of those rooms every other room and we can hear everything standing in the hallway!! It felt like in a daycare vs. in a hotel near Regent's street! D: We suspect the hotel rents out some units to families for their long-term stay but at least please keep them separate from tourists who don't appreciate constant baby screaming!

Small rooms

Posted 12-Aug-2017
For the price, rooms are small and I was expecting a true 4-star hotel. I would give it 3 stars

Great location and nice and quiet

Posted 28-Jun-2017
I've stayed at this hotel twice recently. One 9 day stay and another 4 day stay. The rooms are good, especially the executive rooms. Very comfortable bed. The location is great. For a west end location it is very quiet and out of the way but still only 10 mins to Oxford Street.
