Won't stay again!

Posted 03-Sep-2015 on Hotels
This was only a one night stay before a cruise departing from Marseille. On arrival I was told nothing was booked and I was showing the receptionist/owner the confirmation from hotels.com. I had to ring Hotels.com that were EXCELLENT and contacted the hotel straight away and sorted this. This man was rude and not helpful treating me as an idiot who has never been on a hotel before. I've been on loads. I won't stay on this hotel again. The rooms were ok but the insulation was not good. You could hear everything on tge street. I've already stayed on one just down the road called B&B Jolliette and this one was simple but good and better located.

Not the smartest of hotels and some way from the central attractions. The staff were helpful and friendly and there where some nice open air markets close by. All in all cheap and cheerful and adequate for a short stay in Marsaille.

We just wanted somewhere clean and cheap for one night in Marseille near the railway station. This hotel fit the bill perfectly. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good location - convenient for the Metro n Tram.

Posted 25-Apr-2015
Pros: Location n fairly friendly staff
Cons: Better TV programs
Location: Nice tramping around the areas, Port n taking buses to other part of the city.
Hotel a bit noisy- can hear people talking n traffic outside, also sometime when people flushing the toilet. Basic comfort and walking distance to Port area. Disappointed with TV programs which all in French n not other choices.

Shabby and Bed Bugs

Posted 03-Nov-2014
The location is close enough to Le Panier and Vieux Port, but the hotel is very run-down and we found bed bugs. I would not recommend this place.

Budget hotel not too far from main attractions

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Pros: Price, cleanliness,
Cons: decor, lack of English language
Location: Metro, Port, Shopping mall (new)
Hotel served the purpose. Disappointing that staff did not speak English. Staff was also very strict on check-in/check-out times...not accommodating at all. Staff not very knowledgeable about key attractions -- told to go to tourist center about 15 minutes away. Short hike up a steep hill from Metro. Area near hotel a bit sketchy, but surrounding area OK. Very accessible from Metro.Overall, hotel was worth the price. Bathroom was new and clean. Room decor was a bit dated and no English TV stations

Good for the price, the location was a bit out of the way from the port, but overall ok

Nice hotel, easy to get into old town by walking.

Nice hotel for our one night stay, easy to get into old town and le Panier district. Only complaint was shower - turned it on and it was directed right at face level going out, so got sprayed quite completely. Perhaps they can ask staff to face the shower head the opposite direction so no one else gets wet like that!
