Never again is all I can really say . I wanted to get the Moroccan experience but I will never stay in this riad again . Next time I will rent an apartment or stay in a hotel . When I first got there things were fine but it quickly changed . The room was extremely cold . Shower barely got hot I’m anemic so I literally slept with my clothes on . Breakfast was mediocre literally the same thing everyday . Staff ( well one particular employee) was extremely shady . Constantly knocking at the door even after I said I was going to sleep. I traveled alone to Morocco doesn’t mean I want to get harassed . I traveled alone for the past 2 years but I never felt as uncomfortable. The employee constantly asked if I liked him even though I told him no we’re just cool I barely know you . He would try to pressure me into to doing things that I said no to. He wouldn’t take no for an answer . I had to literally start ignoring him . He seen me talking to a guy outside the riad and screamed at me telling me not to talk to him as if he was my boyfriend or husband . I didn’t know this man from a can of paint literally . It was just overall not a good experience. I was supposed to leave on the 29TH but with the border shutting down I was stuck in morocco. The owner did accommodate me ( with payment of course ) but I do believe he was dishonest . At the end of the day it was just about the money . The only reason I did not leave the riad is because other riads in the area were in worse conditions .

We stayed for 1 night, and that's more than enough. First the manager is a crook. Yes there are extra fees, however the manager demanded nearly double the amount listed on Expedia. We showed him what was on Expedia, and he said no and demanded more money. The other staff members were helpful when we needed something. As for the room, it was on the 1st floor. TINY!! There was no hot water, the water in the shower didn't drain. Sink pipe was leaking. And yes, there was a big spider, in that bathroom. So stay away, that manager rips you off and he could care less about any prove you have. Spend your money elsewhere.

Uninterested staff
The staff were lazy and not at all helpful. We arrived and were told that we had to stay in a different Riad because of a leak in the room. We arranged for breakfast at 0730 because we had a taxi booked for 0830. We arrived at Riad Hannah for breakfast and the staff were lazing around and completely uninterested in helping to get our breakfast. Incredibly useless staff with a terrible attitude. By far the worst Riad I visited in Morocco.

Great Riad Close to Amenities
If you want fancy then stay in the New Town but if you want the real Marrakech experience then stay at Riad Hannah. This Riad looks nothing from outside but once you step through the door, you get this friendly homely welcome. It is basic in general, with an open plan area where all guests seem to commune in the evenings to chat. Open policy on the kitchen so you can use whenever you want, constant supply of green tea (which was delicious) and they even provided popcorn and nuts for guests who where chatting in the evenings. They were extremely helpful and will organize everything for you in regards to day trips etc. I would highly recommend the spa where they organized out Hamman Treatment.

Was looking forward to our stay
Due to the death of my sister we had to change our travel plans. We were arriving a day later but this riad who were informed of what had happened actually cancelled our reservation. Our rooms had been prepaid & we had to look for alternative accommodation which was awful considering we had just buried our beautiful sister

Friendly Riad in the Medina
Riad Hannah is in a quiet street in the maze of small roads around the souks. It is a lovely house with all the traditional Moroccan features you would expect. Our room was small but very comfortable with an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. Drew us maps and booked us trips and taxis. Mint tea available at all times! We are 2 women and felt safe in the hotel and location.

Just a few minutes walk to the big square, however it's hardly find this hotel yourself unless with help of locals (Certainly needs tips!). Poor Wi-Fi on the 2nd floor and cannot accept there's no kettle in the room! One of the staff who can speak English would recommend day trip to you but poor experience with that, feels like being cheated. Won't choose here anymore!

The hotel experience was not one that I expected. We had cockroach infestation, drug addicts smoking in the kichen and using the floor as an ashtray, we were suppressed by hidden cost, and hotel staff were more interest in ripping us off than providing a clean healthy environment. I would recommend this to a pack packer or some one who dose not mind there children around drug addicts. Other wise find a different hotel.

My first stay in Marrakech
It was an ok Riad. the staff were friendly and the owner spoke a fair few languages to help ease the guests. The breakfast is basic: bread, butter, coffee and a cols fried egg. Luckily you're near the shops so you can buy what you like. You can't hear the hustle and bustle of outside but if any of the guests decide to have a late one in the communal area you're at their mercy. I thoroughly enjoyed the hot and powerful shower but the lack of air conditioning almost killed me.

When the taxi drops you you have to walk 20 minutes through the market and 4 back ali to get to this family house, middle of local residential area. Which is not even a guest house. Rooms full of damp and no door to the toilet or shower, very similar to a prison cell. Very noisy, even at midnight and day time. No privacy. The room is just next to the breakfast area which is a yard in the middle of the building with rooms all around it. You have to move chairs to go out of your room. The manager is not friendly at all and they charge you extra for cleaning and city tax. He ask you to leave if you don't pay.

A comforting experience
I stayed three nights at Riad Hannah with my friend and we highly recommend this place to stay. After the short two minute walk from where the taxi drops you off to the hotel was a little nerving because we didn't quite know where we were going and everyone was hustling us to follow them (for money of course). Once we found the Riad Hannah, we were welcomed with a nice traditional mint Moroccan tea and warmly welcomed into a safe, comforting, hospitable place. That same evening we booked all of our tours for our duration in Morocco and were put at ease to know that we were getting taken care of so well and with the best rates. I highly recommend this stay and will be sending all of my friends and family here to my new Moroccan family. Only make sure that you communicate with the hotel on directions prior to your arrival and they will be happy to set up something for you. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were always with even a walking escort to and from our tours, we felt safe and treated like royalty. You will not regret staying here!!!

Budget accommodation, helpful & friendly staff.
Riad Hannah is perfect for anyone looking to just have somewhere to sleep, it isn't luxury, you get what you pay for. The room i stayed in had bad smell from drain, there's no door (curtain only) to bathroom, which is more like a tiny wet room. Room are clean everyday, staff are friendly, which makes it even more worthwhile staying at this Riad. The owner arrange my 3 days 2 night trip to Merzouga Desert, staff help me order food in, i was ask everyday if i need help tour around Marrakech, i like the challenge of finding my way round, Marrakech is easy to navigate around, if this isn't your thing, i suggest you take on the tour or prepared to pay a guide. I wouldn't recommend family with small children staying here as there sometimes can be a bit rowdy if there's group staying. Wifi only works at the dining and sitting room. IF you only looking for somewhere to sleep and not spend as much time at Riad, then book this place, if you looking for luxury then look elsewhere.

Cold rooms, cold shower, bad staff
The hotel's staff represents all the reason why 96% of first time visitors never come back to Marrakech. Don't pay 50dh city tax! Legally they can only charge 21dh for property with 2 stars (google city tax marrakech for more info) - demand the recite as the staff just pockets the money. Hotel's phone nr and email hasn't been accurate for some time and nobody want's to change it.The service is terrible: no sign of breakfast (and any staff) at 9am, no heating in our room (it was 3 degrees at night), no hot water, blocked shower drain, staff not interested in sorting any issues. The hotel itself isn't that bad - just the lack of any customer service made our stay unpleasant. And we are not fussy travellers!

Heart of Medina
For this price Riad Hannah was ok we have paid £15-17 per night, it was one of the cheaper in search engine, but did the job. We did not expect 5* luxury, we just wanted room inside Medina. Breakfast was really good! simple with fried eggs, superfresh baguette, tasty butter (normally i don't eat butter), and lovely jam/confiture thing plus coffee and juice, honestly on some days best meal of the day. On some review sites people were saying about safety, buy with hand on heart must say we felt safer than in London, of course alleys around Riad Hannah are narrow and nightime poorly lighted but thats Medina isn't it?!

Appalling
I spent alot of time researching the hotel as I wanted to book somewhere special for my birthday. Upon arriving we were asked to wait half an hour and fill out paperwork after which time we were told that there was no room for us and we would have to be moved elsewhere. The Riad that we were moved to was absolutely fithy. there was paint and plaster falling from the walls onto our beds and the rooms were completely infested with cockraoches. We were told we could not have breakfast despite the fact we had paid for it and we could not even wash in the morning because the showers and sinks were so full of cockroaches. To make things worse an extremely toxic insecticide had been sprayed everywhere and it was so bad that our eyes were streaming and we could taste the insecticide in our mouths. This was not only disappointing becuase it was supposed to be a birthday treat but it was also extremely unhealthy for my four year old nephew who was staying with us. I am a frequent Traveller to morocco and have been there 40 or so times in the last ten years. i have to say this is my worst experience ever I am therefore asking for a refund and an email address so I can send the photos on to you

Lovely homely riad away from the hustle and centre
We went to Marrrakech in March this year and stayed at stayed at Riad Hannah. We arrived at night and on arrival were given a complimentary mint tea which was the best mint tea we've ever had. The room was basic but very clean which is always a main priority. The only downside was the unexpected curtain for the bathroom instead of a door which we learned is common place in raids, but a bit of planning ahead for other guests sharing the room to temporarily vacate the room for a few mins if you need some privacy is all it takes. Hotel staff encouraged us to do a tour of the city for our first day which I would highly recommend. The staff are lovely and very attentive if you should need any help with anything ie information about things to see and do and giving directions etc. We went to a lush spa close to the medina square where we had a much needed hamman treatment with a wash and blow dry. Breakfast was lovely and the guy serving it was very sweet and hardworking. The lady who cooks in the kitchen was also very sweet and had excellent customer service teaching my friend to cook cous, cous which btw tasted amazing. Would recommend this hotel as it's a bit further away from the noise of the hustle and bustle of the big square and a nice peaceful retreat to escape back to at the end of the day. The building itself is very pretty to look at inside with the typical Moroccan interior and open plan roof which gives the place a nice ambience.

Not true to their words
We had booked 8 days at Hannah but when we arrived there a day late missing out flights, they had given our booked rooms to someone else. This was a terrible experience for all of us they replaced it with dark smelly and dirty rooms in a another place which was very in unprofessional. We had to find a alternative stay the next day.

Good hotel for young travels, not for adults
. Our taxi driver dropped us off at the front of the medina and said to walk for 3 minutes which we did. There was a sign down a narrow street that said the hotel was this way. The street broke into 3 other streets so we roamed around it until we found it. But of course someone was there offering directions and when I said I had no money and I did not need his help he said "no problem" and walked along with us then demanded pay. At first I was not going to give him money but he stood at the hotel door. Hotel management did nothing to shoo him away. I went to give him a few coins and he said keep your money. That it was not enough. I walked away and he called me some name. i never gave him any money. When we checked in we did have to pay 100 durhams about $12 for "taxes". Front desk guy was rude and when we asked for a manager he said he was the manager. Jawad was the "custmer service person" who explained a few things to us. He was helpful and friendly and he booked a trip for us also. The room said it had airconditioning but it never really worked. We had to open the window because the room was small and stuffy but then cig smoke came in. The free breakfast was only an attempt at a friend egg and a piece of bread with coffee. The room was cute but make sure if you stay it is with someone you are very comfortable with as only the curtain for a bathroom door leaves no privacy. The hotel was very charming with a nice courtyard.

Riad Hannah for the Marrakech Medina Experience
I stayed at Riad Hannah for two nights enroute from Casablanca to Agadir. I wanted to stay in the medina and Riad Hannah is perfectly situated there. Note: you do have to haul your bags yourself from taxi to riads in the medina because taxis do not drive inside so be prepared to fend off offers of help as you pull your bags along. This hotel is in a fantastic location. It also has a really nice feel with the rooms positioned around the open space in the middle. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Smoking is allowed everywhere inside the hotel (including over breakfast) but this seems to be everywhere in Marrakech so can't really be faulted. Breakfast included is very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beware the tourism culture in Marrakech (this hotel is no exception) - they are constantly trying to get your money. You really can't be cautious enough.
