Very tired hotel for usual high Mercure standards. Good price and very friendly staff though Swimming pool was green and not open on our visit.

Good location, surprisingly good restaurant

We chose this hotel for a few days exploring the area. This is close enough to the city, but easy to find, plenty of parking, with friendly service. It does look like it was built in communist East Germany circa 1983, but don't let that put you off. It's standard fayre. Restaurant menu was actually really rather good.

Good basic, clean hotel with easy access

Posted 29-Jun-2015
Pros: Staff, cleanliness and location
Cons: Lobby and restaurant have obviously been updated. Rooms should be next; it's like stepping back into the 70's but they are clean and everything works
Location: Not much if you are not there on business or at the exhibition hall. However, the city center is walkable (50mins) if you don't want to drive.
As we were traveling in classic cars we wanted a hotel with easy access and good parking while not being too far from the city center. This fitted the bill perfectly with the added benefit that the gates to the car park are closed overnight. Check-in staff were very helpful with information on what was going on in the area and helped us book rooms for the next part of our journey. Food in the restaurant was pretty good for a hotel and again the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Nice place for overnight break

Posted 04-May-2015
Pros: Real nice and friendly staff. Good quiet location, would have been super in warm weather.
Cons: Selection and quality of the dinner.
Location: Good location a couple of miles from Reims centre pleasant and quiet.
Nice quiet location which was very easy to find. Good car parking plenty of Space. Excellent and very warm welcome and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, mostly able to speak to us in English. Good comfortable room, spacious and clean. Good condition generally although some of the fittings seemed a bit tired. Breakfast excellent though not cheap but the dinner offering was disappointing and not very high quality. Overall a nice stay but not perfect.

First and last stay.

Price initially looked very reasonable. When I left, it turned out to be the single most expensive bill on a 2 week trip. Most expensive burger I've ever had.

This hotel was perfect for an overnight stay before heading to Taittinger (7 min away from hotel). Free guest parking and 24hour check-in were our main concerns since we were arriving at 3am. Other hotels in the area don't have check-in after 9pm. Breakfast is very expensive and there are no grocery stores in the area.

Very quite area, not much locally

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: Price
Cons: Attitude to guests on arrival
Location: Nothing local
Hotel reception on arrival simply awful, unfriendly, disinterested, not welcoming at all. Restaurant staff excellent and went beyond in service and friendliness
