The property was so unique. The rooms were clean but some upgrading to the room would have been good eg toilet roll holders (broken), bathroom unit etc.parking facilities weren’t great, had to pay to stay. Staff were great, very courteous and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and room was disappointed the room wasn’t cleaned after the first night. We were at a wedding that day, didn’t get home until late so didn’t complain.

Unbelievable historical location. Outer grounds were excellent for kids. Hotel itself was not overly kid friendly. Staff was excellent.

From the moment we turned into the most stunning of driveways, we realised we were going to have a wonderful weekend. The hotel itself is beautiful, inside and out. Welcoming staff, off the scale exquisite rooms, the food is amazing. So much choice, with beautiful presentation. The staff are so helpful and kind. We were here for the Medieval Banquet and what a night it was. Absolutely brilliant. The costumes, food, entertainment was great fun. As it was Mr Js birthday they made us Baron and Baroness for the night. We felt so spoilt. The food was served hot, plentiful and cooked to perfection. Great fun after at the disco. The breakfasts were so tasty and the dining staff were so helpful. The rooms are very comfortable with comfy beds, pillows, super soft towels. How posh having a bath in the bedroom! We enjoyed walking in the grounds and had a short drive into Coventry. A very interesting city. We both highly recommend staying here at this stunning hotel. You will not be disappointed. A weekend will will remember for a very very long time!! Thankyou to all the staf.

I bought the stay for my parents as a gift and they had a wonderful time. They said the facilities were lovely, staff were excellent and the food for dinner was unbelievable. Thank you for making their stay so special!

The staff and food were good. The room however was only fair as we were in the annex part of the hotel and had to walk through the courtyard in the pouring rain to get to the restaurant. Expedia totally ruined it before we even got there as I had booked it as a surprise for my husbands birthday.The idiot at Expedia sent HIM a confirmation text message. Will never use this company again!!!

Beautiful place & surroundings. The Abbey is very characterful & well kept. Food was very nice but had to wait 45 mins for it & was only lukewarm when it arrived. Room was large, clean & in keeping with the period of the property. Highly recommended.

Cobwebs aplenty.mould above door in bathroom ..dust behind doors and on higher up surfaces. Curtains hanging from rails .bed light bulb gone / not working, and desk socket dodgey/ lose. Room was quite dark despite 2 large winfows . Room 138

Fantastic stay
The setting, parking excellent. The building is incredible, medieval overload. We stayed in a room in the main building which had a beautiful bath on a platform in the bedroom and separate toilet etc. the drinks are reasonably priced . The food is top quality. Breakfasts are so tasty as is all the food. The staff are so friendly too. Defo 5 Star

Perfect stay for a celebration
Perfect stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Restaurant food very good and bedroom very comfortable. All staff excellent. Bottled water in the bedroom would have been appreciated.

Beautiful Grounds and Superb Service
The hotel was lovely, but what really stood out was the extraordinary helpfulness of all the staff, from bringing me to my room (it has multiple buildings) to a bar tender opening the gates to the gardens for me. I only ate in the Garden/Bar, and the food was lovely and good value. The high tea was also lovely.

Beautiful historic hotel in an amazing setting. Staff super friendly and helpful. Downside- old fashioned toilet cistern made noise all night. Bed was comfy but everytime one person moved the other bounced!

No hot water in the room today morning. No fix provided and asked to keep running the water and hope it heats up!! The breakfast service awful with unwelcome staff attitude, looks like they are not happy. We were a big group staying for a conference and majority felt that the staff have attitude problems.

We spent four days at Coombe Abbey in mid-July. It was excellent. We had an amazing room, 2nd floor, front view. We had afternoon tea, full buffet breakfast and lunches. We also took the Punt ride. A great luxurious experience

An amazing property that severely lacks building maintenance and cleanliness. Rooms are very stuffy, room ventilation system no longer works, windows barely open. Parking is not included. Property worth a visit but would avoid the hotel

Not happy with service at privet dinning
After having afternoon tea on the sat , paid for my daughter and husband to stay the night ( which they enjoyed ) then to have privet dinning on the Sunday for a family of 11 to celebrate my daughter 40th birthday ) the service from booking the venue to being at the privet dinning SERVICE was disgusting ,,,,, the food was amazing but as I said service was disgusting ,,, no greeting from any one , we had to find the room ourselves , waiters never even spoke , we had no condiments on the table ( had to wait another 15 min for them to arrive by this time a few of the guests had eaten ,, never once got asked if every think was ok ,,, then the supervised argued with us when I said that tea and coffee was included ( which he said wasn’t ) I showed him my email ( which included the tea/ coffee ) he went and came back and said , we will give it to you free !!!! Even though I showed him the email ,,, my poor daughter who’s surprise 40th it was I felt upset ,,,, a lot of money I paid in that weekend ,,, needs to be addressed
