any port in a storm - good refuge during a power outage, staff helpful, clean room and bed was comfortable; quiet although extremely bus. Free breakfast very basic but enough to get you started. We did not care for the coffee but that is a small issue.

Minor disrepair in the room: peeling caulk and paint. Proximity to the road was disruptive in the rooms. Had a mixed interaction with staff: checkout was great, checkin took 5+ minutes to get someone to the front desk. While the room was clean enough, general care of the facility was lacking, even for a budget hotel.

Room was clean... but shampoo and conditioners had been used. Person at the front desk was somewhat upset that we had asked for fresh bottles. Guests shouldn't have to use hair products that have been left by previous guests!

The room was very clean and it was quiet the night I stayed. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was stocked well. My only complaint was the damp musty smell that is throughout the building. There was a dehumidifier in the hallway so I'll give them kudos for that but honestly the small unit they had wasn't going to do much. They need several bigger units to make a difference. The couch in the room was old and has seen better days. It was mushed in the middle. But all in all, I'd stay again for a short stay.

Our room was very musty, like it had been flooded at some point. The air from the AC may have been partly to blame. Staff needs to check the rooms more thoroughly. We shut off the AC and opened the window. There was no screen on the window.

Carpet in room and hallway was filthy. Rooms need to be updated. Towels very thin. Sheets were also very thin. We did not have breakfast there because it just gave us a bad feeling. No elevator and paid over $160.

I paid for a king suite with hot tub. This room was dated. The carpet filthy. The hotel has a smell to it. The shower had NO hot water.

Unwelcoming staff, clerk acted as though we were an imposition. Needed extra towel and morning clerk told me housekeeping was down the hall. We had our dog with us and the clerk wasn’t to thrilled with that, even though they had a sign posted pets welcome..with permission. The extra charge for our dog was 20.00 a night. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time. The area for dogs to use for their business was full of garbage, for an extra 20 you think they’d have a nicer place. I would not recommend to pet owners.

Room was spacious enough, Although outdated and deteriorating. Carpet in the room was very dirty. Stains all over. Felt like i had to keep my socks on the whole time. The sheets were clean at least. Breakfast was so so. Waffles, hard boiled eggs, instant oatmeal, toast and english muffins, cereal,milk and juice. The staff was very nice. Probably would look elsewhere when staying in that area again. The price was right though.

This was the first time my husband and I stayed at this particular Quality Inn (Manistique, MI). The staff were WONDERFUL! Our room was very spacious and clean. I would HIGHLY recommend a stay at this motel.
