The best times to visit Margem are during late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to October), when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.During these shoulder seasons, the temperatures are comfortably warm, typically ranging from 20 to 28 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for exploring the Alentejo landscape. You'll find it's superb for outdoor activities like walking or cycling without the intense heat of the summer months. These periods also offer a more relaxed experience, as the peak summer tourist rush hasn't fully begun or has already subsided, meaning fewer people at popular spots and potentially better value on accommodation. For those who enjoy a lively option and don't mind warmer weather, July and August are also popular, though temperatures can often exceed 30 degrees Celsius. This is peak season, so you can expect more fellow travellers and higher prices. However, many local festivals and events take place during these months, offering a chance to experience the local culture.
