"Overall, the stay was relaxing and comfortable. However, the location, though described as Captain Cooks, is quite some driving distance from any major towns. The house appears very clean. However, we found maggots on kitchen floor, not sure why."

"We visit the Big Island 2 times each year and we always stay here 2-3 times per trip. They have always been very helpful even during the time KOA didn’t have any rental cars."

"Overall a beautiful place with so many accommodations. We visited during the hurricane, and there was a tree down in the driveway blocking our exit. The owner and his kids got the tree out of the way in no time. Everything was clean and convenient for all of us and not to far from convenience stores. Mahalo for the stay."

"Very lovely house, amazing sunset views as it is right off the water. House has everything you need for cooking, even has filtered water for drinking and cooking.Nice to haves, some extra fans as when it is sunny out and no breeze the house can get toasty.A heater for the pool would be nice so it can be used at night time...."

"The house was perfect size for two people wanting to have a quiet time together. The view and sunsets were amazing. The pool is smaller but again perfect size for just two people. Everything in the home was clean. The ice maker was a nice plus."

"Everything was beautiful and fit perfectly for our group. The only thing I wasnt prepared for was the humidity. No AC and the ceiling fans felt like they were set on a lower setting. Cooled down some at night though. Despite the humidity I would still recommend this house. Beautiful view, nice and spacious and the pool was perfect for cooling down."

"Our stay at the property was amazing. This was our second trip to the island, albeit twenty years from the first, and our stay here far exceeded our expectations. I was contacted before arrival, and provided some great meal recommendations after I mentioned we would be stopping for a bite to eat before settling into the property. The house was clean, comfortable, while offering more than found at a hotel. It is a gated property in quiet community with friendly neighbors. Everything offered in the listing is accurate, and whether your first, second, or umpteenth trip, you will not be disappointed by your stay here."

"We stayed in the location for 10 days July 5-15. The view from the lanai was excellent and the sunsets were beautiful. The master bed room was very roomy and the kitchen was well equipped and fairly well stocked. The second bedroom was a little smaller than we thought, the furniture in the living room is dated and needs to be replaced and needs to be much more comfortable, The drive up and down from the location to the main road is curvy with little railings with bit of a drop off so be sure to get back before dark if possible. It’s a tricky somewhat scary drive at night. It takes about 1 hour to get to Kona and 1;30 to get to Hilo without w lot of shopping areas near the hour! In the summer it’s a little toasty in the house at 3-7 pm even with the fans. It does not cool off from the breeze off the ocean untouched l around 11 pm!"

"Great house and deck. Description of the drive n and out was very accurate. Dining outside on the large table was great for our group. It was easier to get to Volcanos National Park from here than it would have been from Kona."
