2nd time here, long time visitor to Manila & Makati. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't come back. This is essentially a place to stay when you need just a bit more than a basic room. The location is good if you'll be going between Makati and Fort Bonifacio for your trip. It's a simple room, but very clean, and with a good air conditioner. Hot water for the shower, but there is limited water pressure, especially in the morning.
The staff is friendly, but they are not a concierge. They do offer a map of the town with suggestions for people unfamiliar with Makati. It is apparent that both foreigners and locals alike will stay there, however I feel it's mostly for backpackers. The streets of Makati are noisy and the rooms do little to block out the sounds from outside.
If you're a party goer - Time in Manila, on Makati ave, is within walking distance. While this hotel is on Burgos, it's not exactly near the girly bars (although certainly close enough for you to walk to in under 5 minutes). Next time I'm in Manila for a few nights, I'm staying here.
