Nærmere Deans gate, t-bane og shopping

Posted 29-Jan-2016
Godt AC-anlegg

Characterful hotel, good position.

Posted 28-Jan-2016
Pros: Location and access to nearby entertainment and China Town.
Cons: Parking discount should apply to entire stay - not just one episode.
Location: Walking distance of Parking, Canal Street, Arndale, China Town and many bars, great pubs & eateries.
We enjoyed a 2 night stay combining business and pleasure. The Townhouse was ideally situated to explore good bars & restaurants, the Arndale Centre and Canal Street venues - all easy walking distance. Nearby Q parking not listed in hotel info - helpful receptionist advised postcode so easy to find. Was a 2 minute walk from hotel. Room cleanliness excellent, top ups of tea etc no problem and bar staff very friendly & helpful. We will return.

Shame about the sirens !

Posted 25-Jan-2016
Pros: Location , size of room , comfort .
Cons: Soundproofing
Location: Really handy for shopping and theatres
We were really impressed by the size and comfort of the room . However we got very little sleep due to the noise levels from the street . The windows of our fifth floor room need soundproofing as we were regularly woken by sirens and even people's revels . Not really good enough .

Good location - severe staffing issues

Posted 07-Dec-2015
Pros: Location and rooms were fine.
Cons: Much better management and staffing levels based on having to close your 24 hour bar in the weekends leading up to Christmas (this was Sat 5th Dec)
All was fine at check in and we were satisfied with our superior room. However we met friends for pre dinner drinks in the bar (also residents) and selected a cocktail each from the displayed drink menus - on attempting to order we were informed that they no longer did cocktails! On return from our meal at a city restaurant, we came back to the hotel bar to be told they were short staffed and the 24 hour bar was closed. The night manager was quite curt and when questioned offered one drink only. This was at 12.30 - other residents were equally unhappy. To infuriate us further one of the staff then proceeded to ask me to move from my seat so she could snuff out the window candle behind me and clambered over my friend to get to the next one. She went around the lounge and bar area extinguishing all the candles whilst we were all sat there. The following morning at breakfast the staff that were on duty were completely rushed off their feet and could not cope with the customers -long queues and waits - tables uncleared for ever. We had to chase everything from tea/coffee to toast, sauce etc. All in all - if you are thinking of staying at this hotel paying £200+ a night - choose another - you will be left disappointed as we were.

All efforts appreciated.

Posted 01-Dec-2015
Having stayed mostly at budget chain hotels in recent years, I was very appreciative of the extra efforts, luxuries and complementary elements, which are absent from the others. The room was spacious; bed large and very comfortable; bathroom well stocked and many thoughtful touches throughout.

Too expensive

Posted 01-Dec-2015
Would have expected a much better room for the price we paid. The room needed a more thorough clean as there were bits on the floor and the tiles were smeared. The grouting round the bath had been badly painted with black paint! Room didn't have a window and was very small. Barman told us cocktails weren't served even though they were on the menu and we saw another member of staff making one later in the day. Overall a bit disappointing!

Fab location for the Christmas Markets

Posted 23-Nov-2015
Pros: The rooms were stylish, warm and there was a coffee maker which was fab!
Cons: N/A
Location: Very near everything, great vibe.
Ideal location for just about everything. Very near Canal Street, and just a short walk to the Christmas Market. The hotel was fab, very clean and the room was lovely. The staff were really helpful too. I'd definitely stay here again!
