It was cheap and cheerful. There was quite a lot of noise in the night and the breakfast service was late starting.

Taps barely worked, shower pressure not great with the temperature being unstable. Left my partners cap in the hotel, and seems like this has possibly been taken by a member of the housekeeping team. Not the best location. It is however at least clean, and the rooms are okay. Wouldn’t recommend overall.

Small double very cosy and comfortable...well appointed with everything you need. Reception staff lovely...nice welcome when you arrive and very helpful. Good hearty breakfast.

Close to station, library and theatres. Warm rooms but fan provided. Bed reasonably comfy with good pillows. Tea/ coffee facilities in the room. Staff friendly. Express check in quick and easy. Easy to walk to main areas.

The room we were given was baking hot as the afternoon sun came in through the window and the room had no air conditioning. At about 9:30 pm an alarm went off in our room, it may have been a smoke alarm. Regardless, there was no smoke and I had to get out of bed and walk to the reception desk to get it fixed. I was charged VAT on my evening meal, which is illegal in the United Kingdom.

Room freezing cold because wall radiator not working for all 3 nights. Single bed ~ not illustrated here – far too small with tight tiny duvet that let in the cold all round once body is inside! Shower floor treacherously slippery. Language limitations at front desk where solutions were limited at the weekend. Small heater and second (though used) duvet supplied on request.

The hotel was everything I expected the only thing was disappointing was when we went to eat on Friday night we were told they were not doing food for guests because they had Christmas parties if I had been informed beforehand I would have cancelled my stay even the reception didn’t know this was happening Best thing we were given a 20% off voucher we couldn’t use The reception staff were excellent

City visit
This is just what you would expect from a city hotel. Room was small but perfect for one night.Helpfull, friendly staff and we had a very nice evening meal and breakfast. Ideally situated to go the theatre.

Great hotel to stay after theatre visit. Reasonable price (Manchester hotels are so expensive now), clean and well maintained. Lovely big towels and the Pendulum is wonderful! Good breakfast, frequently replenished. Only downsides were slightly slow clearing of breakfast tables and shower not very powerful, though quite adequate.

Very good stay here, local to all you need around Manchester as we came from London this was by far the better location to get around only thing is that if you want space compact rooms are not ideal as they are very small so not alot of space, but only room available but still managed it with no problem very good stay here

Comfy Stay
Great stay. Clean and comfy. Limited plug sockets (2 girls getting ready). Walls could do with freshening up, but ultimatly our stay was good. We paid extra for breakfast and some things had ran out, but we did arrive 15mins before it ended (staff visiably annoyed) and we were asked to leave 15 mins after breakfast had stopped serving. Maybe helpful to make it clear you have to have eaten and gone by 11. We would stay again and have breakfast somewhere else 😊

My second stay was just as good as my first. Friendly helpful staff and room suitable for me. I was impressed again with the standard of service and cleanliness of the whole hotel. Will be going back.

It was fine
Most importantly the room and the hotel was spotlessly clean. It was ideally located for our event. Check in was quick. Quiet at night. Didn’t use the bar or restaurant so can’t comment on them. Some of the room facilities were a bit tired but no deal breakers. I would have said it was a bit pricey, but in reality it was no more expensive than other similar hotels in the area. I guess it’s just the way things are these days! On balance, I would stay here again.

Great find
Check in was easy and fast. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Great find, only about a 20 min walk from the centre of town. Good if you want somewhere a bit quieter.

The room was tiny and dated, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable, way too hot (no a/c and no fan in the room), very noisy drunks outside all night and the bathroom door scraped the floor when opened making a very loud noise. Staff were lovely and offered us another room but we decided to check out a day early and book another hotel instead.

Convenient hotel.
Convenient hotel for city centre, and all location's needed. Shame shower wasnt very powerful and room was rather warm, having to keep fan on day and night. Hotel was very clean, the staff were very welcoming
