Excellent location

Posted 20-Nov-2017
As well as the perfect location for the city centre, it's a highly comfortable hotel, with a metropolitan feel. Very well equipped, quiet and relaxing.

Overpriced and very average

Posted 20-Nov-2017
Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. However, the room was overpriced and dated, the bathroom is in need of modernisation and the shower was appalling. £260 for one night - rip-off.

A friendly centrally located boutique hotel

Posted 13-Nov-2017
Two visits to this hotel and each time have booked an executive king room. The beds are huge and so comfy. This is a small hotel with a fantastic central location. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Such a comfy bed in such a central location

Posted 06-Nov-2017
Pros: The staff were helpful, the room was comfortable and nothing looked tired as it so often does in busy hotels.
Cons: Although the room looked absolutely spotless, the toilet cannot have been cleaned - it hadn't even been flushed!
Location: The hotel is a brisk 10 minute walk from Picadilly Station with easy access to all of the city centre and the busy Manchester nightlife.
I booked this hotel at the last minute. It was a competitive price for a Saturday in the city centre and especially when compared to other less plush hotels nearby. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and the lobby and public areas were clean and nicely presented. When I got to the room I was amazed at the comfort of the bed! There was plenty of space to move around and everything was very neat. Given its location the room was surprisingly quiet. You could hear people shouting outside but it wasn't so loud that it disturbed me. The bathroom was large and had really nice toiletries. I'd definitely return here.

Great central stay

Great location for sites / shopping / eating etc. Beds and cleanliness spot on. If you wanted to nit pick chip out of toilet seat and dull lighting in certain places. ALL the staff were great, loved night guy who let us in & served our perroni!

Just OK

Posted 25-Oct-2017
Room was clean, didn't really use facilities bar/restaurant looks ok. I didn't have food so can't comment. The hotel is on Portland Street which is busy - so I would suggest asking for a high floor number and away from front especially if you want an early night. Fortunately I was tired so I managed to get to sleep. Room decor is a little dated. Rate via expedia was reasonable.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Manchester

Posted 23-Oct-2017
Pros: The location, the staff, the room, all top quality experience.
Cons: The WiFi coverage. Really was very poor in the room throughout the stay for me.
Location: Townhoue hotel is in the heart of Manchester and very accessible for concerts, sporting events, shopping etc.
I stayed for 2 nights in the Townhouse hotel Manchester. Overall it was a really excellent stay. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff, very comfortable room, great location in the heart of Manchester. I was in Manchester for a short city break and to see a concert, this hotel was a perfect choice for such a visit. The one negative issue I would have is the WiFi connection in the room. The level of coverage was very poor certainly for a hotel of this quality and would have been a more negative factor if I was staying there for a business trip. But overall a very satisfactory stay and very much would recommend the Townhouse as a great place to stay in Manchester.

Check in was very slow took about 15 minutes which wasnt a great start but once we got to the room i was pleasantly surprised. Nice big room very clean we were on the fourth floor so traffic noise was very minimal. We used room service and had food brought up to the room which was quick and really nice too. Only negative i would say was lightning, 3 spot lights in the whole room is not enough and they weren't very bright ones either. Overall was happy and i would stay again.
