Good stay at hotel for my sisters hen do. Enjoyed the thermal spa the following day. Was lovely would be even better if spa was included in cost of staying at hotel.

The staff were very friendly, the room was spectacular, and the food I had was very good. I skipped breakfast because I didn't want to pay £19 for a meal on the run, but it may have been worth the money if you had time to enjoy it. Overall a very nice hotel

McDonald Manchester Hotel March 2017

Decent hotel, friendly staff. One elevator did not work at all, the other one did not work well. Definitely needs repair! Beds are hard, not very comfortable.

Hotel was close to train and metro station network

I choose the MacDonald spa Manchester as a pre birthday treat for my other half, on arrival I thought hotel looks very smart . The reception was staffed and efficient, on going through to the lifts and stairs did we see how grim and in need of renovating this hotel was, there was only one lift in use, so 10 people in a queue, we were on the 2nd floor so not bad to walk, up 3flights of stained different colour pattern carpets, we got to the room, stairs were well worn stubborn stains, cracked and chipped vanity unit, Breakfast was an experience it was 2 in 2 out, like a scene from a holiday camp dining room, the staff were pulled from pillar to post, the food was of good standard though. It's clearly now a low grade budget hotel that promotes through hotel websites, it clearly needs a renovation. It was full with groups of young girls lads, birthdays stag and hen celebrations.

Very nice and a covinient location

Posted 05-Mar-2017
Pros: Very nice spacious room
Cons: there is no car access from the front, so it is hard figure out how to get in. A hotel this size need more than 1 working lift.
We were visiting Manchester for a day and were looking for a comfortable hotel near to o2apollo. This hotel fit the need very well

Fantastic stay

Four 24-27 year old girls stayed for 1 night and our room is gorgeous, the bathroom was absolutely massive and for the price we paid beat crappy budget hotels! Would definitely come back
