Wanted a decent hotel close to the Piccadilly Station for a single night and this hotel fit the bill. Nice room could just have, nice fresh sheets, plenty of towels etc but was just a bit dusty here and there. Very pleasant staff and a nice welcome with a quick trouble free check in.

Efficient Business Hotel

Posted 19-Jan-2016
Cons: TV too small for size of room in Exce rooms
Location: Central - bars/restaurants within 5 mins walk
Pleasant staff - quiet location even though central

Stayed one night Unable to get second night because booked Great for rail Car entrance awkward Great breakfast and wait staff Super comfortable room (we all slept like baby's) although needed a vanity curtain for privacy while still letting light in the morning Concierge was really helpful planning a couple of things to do in Manchester for our spare morning

Posted 21-Dec-2015
Pros: Staff, food, room
Cons: Lift broke down and could do with better access to floors
Location: So sad to see homeless people opposite hotel. Easy access to station and shops, tram etc
Excellent room and breakfast. Lift was broken so delays getting to floors.

Great hotel, difficult to get in and out of

Posted 17-Nov-2015
Pros: Loved the room, very roomy bathroom with both a tub and separate shower.
Location: The location was a challenge. Hard to get in and out of the hotel due to how the entrance was set up.
The room was very clean and had a great view. The staff was very attentive. Really enjoyed the breakfast, good service and excellent food.

Disappointing and won't stay again

Posted 08-Nov-2015 on Hotels
Car Park was full so we had to wait for someone to leave. Check in staff were very brusque. Room was acceptable although there was a stain on the carpet floor. Bathroom was first class. We rang reception for half an hour to ask for more milk but no one answered. We eventually gave up trying. Lift was not working in the morning as someone's bathroom had tripped the electrics! We had to wait in a queue for nearly 25 minutes for breakfast as staff said they were very busy. Personally we were extremely disappointed as this was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Unfortunately we would not be recommending this hotel in Manchester as we have stayed in several that are much better quality, service and value for money.

Lovely hotel

Posted 08-Nov-2015
Pros: Bright rooms. Very clean
Loved the room etc. Very clean. Bit naughty asking £20 for parking when it is not the cheapest place to stay in the first place. It is a walk out of town and no where really to eat etc around the hotel. So if you want or need central look elsewhere

I hope I was just unlucky

Posted 08-Nov-2015 on Hotels
Check in was an unnecessarily long process after my long day travelling and working, room service menu sounded amazing but arrived after 40 minutes cold and less enjoyable than a ready meal, breakfast could have been great as the decor is lovely and good looked good but after being set at a used table I expected to come back with my cereal for the table to have been cleared but it wasn't so I are my weetabix looking at a used napkin and with no cup for the coffee they had brought me, if I hadn't been under time pressure due to going back into work I could easily have waited my chance to flag someone down to ask them to clear it but shouldn't have to. All in all the experience was so much more stressful than it should have been for a 7pm arrival and 9am departure the next day - I was hardly even there! I'll be fair and give the upsides, good big rooms and good tv. So much potential for this hotel with it being right next to piccadilly, they just need to nail the attention to detail, let's hope I was just unlucky.
