Great location for easy access to the city. Would have scored higher if it wasn’t for the draft through the old window frame

Major plus is the location with good shuttle service to the terminals. Stayed one night for a morning flight.
Be aware and check the restaurant opening hours especially if you are arriving late evening/night or leaving early morning.
Would have got a better review overall, but felt forced to use self-service check in; bed appeared clean but the carpets throughout the corridors and in the room were worn/stained/dirty in areas. Property needs some TLC. However, it’s not a luxury hotel. The proximity to the terminals and shuttle service makes the hotel a convenient option.

Just one towels in bathroom. No bathmat, slipped on tile floor getting out of shower. Complained to front desk. None brought in. Staff member entered room while sleeping. Wrong room apparently. Slow service in restaurant. Had to ask to be served.

Room was missing a hair dryer and bathmat but both were delivered promptly. Restaurant prices were exorbitant though!

Clayton hotel was a great place to stay. The facilities was great and I loved my room. The bed was amazing very comfortable and the pillows were great.too. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Great food and eating area. Definitely need new pillows as they were very hard and made for a difficult nights sleep

The staff in the bar refused to make me a coffee as it was late. It was only 7pm. Then the airport transfer driver refused to take to the airport to get a coffee when he was going empty to pick you clients. I’d never stay here again!!!! Avoid fully!!!!
Shuttle bus driver very pleasant . Arrived early due to flight and had to sit in lobby until 2 . Desk agent did not even look to see if there were available rooms. I would have paid to upgrade. Will not return

The hotel was fantastic and our room was perfect. We walked over from the train station dragging luggage the path from the sidewalk to the front door wasn’t marked so we had to backtrack one time as we had to take a gravel path which sucked. And the walking directions on our map had us going down the back sidewalk and they have a gate on that with a padlock.

Asked to change rooms. Nice lady called Kat sorted it out and reorganized shuttle bus and wake up call for me. Original room was ok but noise from the air con units outside my window. Also issued me with an upgraded room in new part of the hotel. Free shuttle service to terminals but only 5 minutes walk to terminal1.

As the hotel isn’t allowed any more signage it is very hard to find when driving at night.
The bus service to terminals is excellent
Really enjoyed staying here. The befs are really comfortable. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The staff are lovely. It's quiet so a great night's sleep. The free shuttle service is really useful. Will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.
I found the service to be excellent ,nothing was too much trouble. I lost my wallet at the airport the staff went to great lengths to help me find it. The shuttle bus driver made three journies back and forward. With his help the wallet/phone was returned. Great hotel will use again.
Very helpful staff. Simple online check in and the shuttle bus driver was great help. Dropped at door with directions to the deparures floor at my terminal.
Will definitely be staying here for any future flights from Manchester!
Rooms are excellent as are breakfast and dinner menu. Like most hotels though, prices for drinks, food and snacks high..e.g. £11 for glass of wine and £4 for a pck of Jelly babies. Great shuttle service to and from hotel, station and terminals.
Lovely and clean hotel. Reception messed up the shuttle booking but the shuttle staff managed to sort it out. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the staff was friendly, food was nice as well.
