The rooms were lovely and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay more memorable by being ...
Despite the building works opposite Velvet Hotel still has a cool, authentic vibe. Staff all lovely : so helpful and accommodating -- as hotel staff should be! Marco Pierre White Restaurant was opening next day.
Everything was very smooth from a welcoming arrival in reception with good advice about eateries nearby. The room was large and warm and well appointed. The hotel seems to specialise in baths! However the shower worked fine. I had to request that the bass in the (empty) sitting room below me be turned ...

Stayed here for my first trip to Manchester and it was amazing. So close to everything we needed and the room was beautiful. The trip was for my partners 30th birthday and we were greeted with a free drinks voucher in our room, was a very nice touch. Would definitely recommend to stay here.
Nice big room with comfy bed. Impressed with the shower but there were way too many mirrors for my liking!

With individually decorated rooms and luxurious amenities, the city's boutique hotels are located in trendy areas such as Canal Street or leafy suburbs like Didsbury Park. In-room amenities include designer toiletries, premium bedding, mini-bars and rainfall shower heads, while the hotels themselves have rooftop bars, restaurants and concierge services on offer to make your stay comfortable.
After complimentary breakfast at your hotel, why not head out to explore some of the city's culture? Stroll around the Central Art Gallery or the Gallery of Costume, housed in an Early Georgian building, or experience life as a police officer in Victorian times at the Greater Manchester Police Museum. You might want to find out about Manchester's industrial heritage with a day trip to the Bolton Museum, Aquarium and Archive, where you can learn more about the impact of the textile industry. Then it's time to relax with afternoon tea at one of Manchester's many cafes - Cloud 23 Bar on the 23rd floor of the Hilton is a popular choice, with panoramic views over the city, or for a more homely feel, there's Annies on Old Bank Street.

With a range of excellent amenities to cater for all needs, you can relax with room service after a day of sight-seeing or meetings, unwind with a drink from the mini-bar or even keep the kids entertained with satellite TVs and DVD players in your room.
