A good place to stay in Altrincham

Posted 24-May-2017
Cons: Standard rooms are really, really small. You couldn't stay in a standard room for any more than 4 nights maximum. Just the right side of comfy.
Location: A visit to the Market House is a must! Great food, drink and ambience. Recommended.
I've been visiting the Cresta Court for several years now for an annual get-together with (mostly) fellow Manchester United fans. The hotel is very accommodating towards us, and the bar is a great place to meet up each day/night - no loud music so you can actually hold several separate conversations without having to shout. We have a celebratory Dinner each year in the large function room, and in my view for a mass-catered meal the food is absolutely excellent. Some of our group had a great night at the "Music Through the Decades" disco (I'd take some issue with that title but that's just me!), which was well-attended by various parties celebrating birthdays, etc. and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The hotel is well-located just on the edge of the town centre. I'd have no hesitation in recommending the Cresta Court.

Nice, refurbished hotel, very good breakfast.

Pros: Cleanliness, breakfast, staff.
Cons: Room ventilation.
Ideal spot for one night stay for footy at Old Trafford, just 5 min walk to Tramlink. Very good breakfast. Our twin room was v small, but also v warm.

Nice Location for the Price

Posted 10-May-2017
This is our second time staying at the Cresta. It's a great location to walk into Altrincham Town Centre as well as easy access to the motorways. The hotel staff was very accommodating as we make many cuppa teas while we are visiting. The rooms are small for those not used to the European way of life. The only downfall is the hotel becomes very busy on Saturday nights and makes parking difficult. We will certainly stay here again.

DISAPPOINTING.

Posted 29-Apr-2017
Pros: THE STAFF WERE VERY PLEASANT AND THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT.
Cons: PROPER WARDROBES WITH DRAWERS AND NEW WINDOWS AND BEDS!
Location: EXCELLENT FOR SHOPS AND LONG WALKS.
GOOD CHECK-IN ON ARRIVAL. LOT OF TRAFFIC NOISE BECAUSE OF AN ILL-FITTING OPENING WINDOW FRAME AND A BLOWN PICTURE WINDOW(COULD HARDLY SEE THRO!) IN ROOM248. UNCOMFORTABLE BED. NO DRAWERS TO PUT OUR PERSONAL THINGS IN !

Used for Manchester Marathon, good for the price

Posted 03-Apr-2017
Positives: - Staff very pleasant and helpful - Common areas in good condition, the restaurant & breakfast were good. - Everything was very clean - Very reasonably priced so please bear that in mind when you look at the negatives below!!! Negatives: - Noise from the (busy) roads and no aircon, wouldn't fancy having to leave the windows open at night during the summer due to the noise - Noisy wedding reception till midnight when we were there. - Room maintenance could have been better (failing shower hose and poor shower pressure) I'd have been annoyed if I'd paid a lot more than I did, but for the price it was fine so would use again.

OK for a stop-over

Posted 13-Mar-2017
Pros: Staff were really lovely
Cons: Cleanliness and general state of repair
Location: Handy for the airport and motorway
Booked late in the day and the staff were really helpful, they couldn't do enough to look after us. Unfortunately the general standard of the rooms (mouldy tiles) and cleanliness (stained towels) left a lot to be desired. Fine for a one-night stop-over but I wouldn't stay any longer.
