"Good experience although lucky it was quiet "
On the basis of earlier poor reviews we were initially apprehensive about staying but all fears were allayed. We had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. True, this is not the place to go if you want to swing the proverbial cat. Our room was very small and the stairs are also quite narrow. However it was a clean, bright and pleasant environment and the hotel has quite a lot of character of its own. The bed was comfy and the shower strong and nice and hot. We were given a great welcome, made to feel at home and the breakfast was tasty and excellent value. It is obvious however that noise would carry easily as the walls are thin and we were fortunate there were no revellers that evening. Having said that noise of all types can be a problem in many other hotels even the luxury ones!

"Lovely hotel, good location "
Hotel has a nice homely feel, staff very polite and helpful. Breakfasts have lots of choice so plenty to set you up for the day. Bar area is lovely and hotel is very handy for takeaways, restaurants and the metro station. Only a little thing but the rooms were sometimes a little bit chilly, especially if you were in them through the day.

"Waggon Inn Uppermill"
A very nice inn to stay in with friendly staff. Only issue was the road noise coming into room - v. loud with window open. Other than that very happy with stay and comfort of room, would use again.

For those who prefer their accommodation a little more characterful than your average chain hotel, bed and breakfasts are the perfect choice. Manchester has a range of bed and breakfasts to choose from, whether you prefer to stay in the city centre or in more rural Altrincham. With most offering free self-parking for guests, it's easy to reach the area's main attractions.

Family-Friendly Amenities at Manchester Bed & Breakfasts

Manchester's bed and breakfasts are popular with couples and families visiting the city for a short break or longer stay. You'll find most offer a complimentary breakfast, to get your day started, with the majority also providing amenities such as free self-parking and free WiFi, great for sharing your family holiday snaps on social media. Some smaller establishments can have as few as five rooms, for a really cosy experience and personalised service, but still boast amenities such as tea and coffee makers, TVs and free toiletries in guest rooms.

Bed And Breakfasts near Manchester's Restaurants and Bars

Manchester has an excellent culinary reputation, and if it's affordable dining you're after, you'll find plenty to tempt your taste buds. From Korean cafes and curry houses to Greek delicatessens and street food stalls serving spicy burritos, it's all on offer here, at affordable prices. For drinks with a view, head for Cloud 23 Bar on the 23rd floor of the Hilton - don't forget your camera - or if craft beers are more your thing, the Sir Ralph Abercromby, a popular haunt with the city's football players, serves a great selection. There are plenty of farm shop cafés and delis selling local produce too, as well as markets such as Bolton Market, where you can pick up locally-sourced meat, fish and cheese, as well as exotic ingredients.

    Cosy Accommodation with Modern Amenities

Manchester's bed and breakfasts may be smaller in size than chain hotels, but all offer a warm welcome and modern amenities to ensure you enjoy a comfortable stay. With free WiFi on offer at most B&Bs, you can catch up with work, keep the kids entertained or share your holiday snaps on social media.
