Lovely old building with quirky rooms . Fast and friendly checkin . Slow breakfast service. No bar for residents closed early . The restaurant and bar let it down ! No atmosphere and looked like staff didn't want to be there . Empty and lacking enthusiasm

Lovely, clean and spacious room. Perfect balance of period features and contemporary styling. Very well located for parking, railway, tram, dining, shopping. Couldn't have asked for more.

Nice hotel not far from piccadilly station and with parking round the corner from the hotel for a fee. Room was nice and clean it was just noisy as we were right in the centre lots of sirens late at night. Breakfast was nice lots of options. My son had a put up bed which was fine for him. No fridge in the room but otherwise good. Would probably stay in a slightly nicer area in future.

I really like the decor of this hotel. I thought the room was lovely and spacious and even had an iron and ironing board for me to use on my suit without needing to ask at reception. Great shower with both overhead and handheld option. Biggest bed I’ve ever stayed in! Staff were very friendly and accommodating

Nice room. Very clean but let down by lack of staff. Had to leave the restaurant after 50 ins without breakfast arriving and clear that the hotel is not staffed appropriately.

The hotel was in an average state of repair. My biggest complaint was that the cleaner set up outside my room before 8:30am which was noisy and negatively impacted the stay. I did mention this to reception on check out but they seemed to show very little interest stating that the room was next to where the cleaner sets up and that it can be noisy but they were sorry. It was frustrating that the hotel knows about the issue but chooses not to make amendments to their practices.

Large room with an extremely comfortable bed. Nice bar with a good selection of wine, beers and spirits, although it was quiet. The best breakfast in this part of Manchester.

Firstly the good things: the hotel is unique in its renovation of an old grand building. The room is big and the deco is mid-century chic, which is appealing. Now the not-so-good ones: the shower water temperature is at most lukewarm, but the strange thing is that the basin tap is very hot. We booked for two people but there is only one set of towels in the room. The bed mattress is soft but sloped - there is no way to stay in the middle of the bed! The soundproofing isn’t great - you can hear the corridor noise clearly, and the outside traffic is also noticeable. Overall: it’s OK but not much better than some lower price hotels nearby for the price we paid.

Great stay, location great for the city centre. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. We had a disappointing experience at breakfast on the second day - first day was excellent. Issue rectified quickly by hotel team.

An obvious hidden gem Stayed here on a Saturday night in January when attending an event in Manchester. I got a really warm welcome from the gentleman on reception as soon as I walked in. I had a drink in the bar before heading out and all three of the team I spoke to were friendly, polite and really lovely to speak to. It’s the first time I’ve stayed here but I’ll absolutely be staying here again when I’m in town.

Brilliant stay
From start to finish our stay was perfect. The hotel staff were so lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Our tv wouldn't work and someone came up immediately and replaced the remote. The room was lovely, the bed very comfy and the bathroom was gorgous. We had breakfast which was delicious, a lovely menu with plenty to choose from, freshly squeezed juices and really good coffee. Excellent, would definitely recommend.

Great city centre hotel
Loved this hotel! In a great location and within 5 mins walk of Piccadilly station and the main shopping areas. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a great size, comfortable and well appointed. The bed was really big and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend for anyone staying over in Manchester.
