Overnight stay close to the Manchester ARENA

Posted 21-Dec-2015
Pros: see above
Cons: see above, but also some signposting within Victoria Station as to the best way out to the hotel
Location: Near Arena and Victoria Station
Easy check in and room was ready early. Room style is clean, minimalist and reasonable size and quiet. Good TV, but internet service not used. Not much space/facility for hanging/storing clothes although less of a problem if only on an overnight stay. Breakfast OK but a bit lacking , eg., no porridge, decaff coffee only by special request. Staff at Reception very helpful.

2 star hotel at 4 star prices

Posted 20-Dec-2015
Pros: not a lot
Cons: provide desent facilities for guests
Location: Close to Manchester Arena
The hotel only had 1 restaurant was more like a Mcdonalds. The menu wad uninteresting and the food was bland There was only one bar and it was more like a barn and filled with loud males and women who looked more like tarts and the noise from the disco was excessive Lacked ambiance Catered more for drinkers than guests. No quite areas

Good location

Posted 04-Dec-2015
Chaos on check in as systems were down. Superior room was excellent. Bar service slow as only one staff member serving. Food in restaurant was poorly cooked and service slow considering number of staff on that evening. Had to get up and find staff to get attention. Starter (Spring roll) was dropped on table by waitress on serving with no offer to pick up or replace. Had to chase up our wine order which had been forgotten. Far end of restaurant was freezing as in direct line of the front entrance door that was constantly opening and shutting. Not the cheapest hotel, but rooms are good, and it's a good choice if you avoid the restaurant and want somewhere close to Arena and centre.

Excellent hotel.

Posted 29-Nov-2015
This is perfect for the MEN and shopping. Room was very comfortable. A bath would have made it perfect. Car parking was in the NEC next to the MEN. The hotel offered a discounted rate which was great as we were there for over 24hrs. Breakfast was £8 per person if you booked on check in (cheaper than the online price) however if you paid on the day it was going to be £14 per person!!

Nice hotel centre of manchester

Posted 26-Nov-2015
Pros: I love the relaxed feeling of this hotel it's ideal for family's. The staff are friendly and the pool and spar are a real treat. Breakfast is good.
Cons: Sofa beds need changing. Dvd players need installing, and compensation for customers who are unhappy could be a free treatment etc.
Location: Manchester has many venues to go too museums, specialist markets etc
A hotel I stay in 2 or 3 times a year last stay I took my daughters and friend for her 15 birthday treat, the room was an on suit large and spacious. But I was a little disappointed as I had asked for spare bed to be put out and that had been forgotten so I rang room service and that was sorted out. But the most disapointing thing that happened was the girls had brought DVDs especially to play for the evening in bed. The DVDs players was there but would not connected up. We were told that the resent TVs that had been installed were not compatible, as the night was raining this did not go down very well. the last time me and my partner stayed the Internet would not work when I complained there was compensation but just an apology. As my room cost near £200 for the night I would hope that kind of problem is. Or reacted and some kind of compansation offered even if it's a free breakfast. Just helps make you feel looked after. Oh I must just say that the sofa beds are very uncomfortable I ended up putting my mattress on the floor.

Nice clean hotel though the room was a bit basic and probably over priced on that basis. The nearby public car park was a problem.

Overnight Conference stay

Posted 13-Nov-2015
Although very expensive for one night stay, assume that's due to the conference, could not fault the hotel or staff. Very helpful and friendly. Thank you.
