This was our first time staying in a Springhill Suites. The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The front desk staff answered all our transportation questions about getting around the area. Two draw backs. The shower door didn't seal all the way at the bottom corner and leaked on the floor a little. Not much of a problem if the matt was put in the right spot. The second drawback, there are two Springill Suites in Alexandria. When you search Springhill Suites the other location, with a pool, comes up first. This led me to thinking this location had a pool and it didn't. It is my fault for not checking the address and making sure. All in all, this was a nice place to stay. It was conveniently located near bus/metro transportation, a grocery store and restaurants.

Kianna was great providing a quick check in and food recommendations so we wouldn’t have to get back in the car after driving for hours. Every person I encountered was always friendly and helpful.

Toilet stop up and customer service personnel had no maintenance person available. Bed mattress need to be changed out (hard). HVAC in room not working properly. Breakfast very poor. Boil egg cold, and also sausage cold.

The facility is good, moderate clean, plenty of parking and breakfast ok for included hotel price. Room is spacious, but a kind of noisy in the night with squeaky sharp noise from night trains nearby, making it difficult to sleep.

This is an attractive, clean property. It does require that you have a car as it is at least a mile from the metro and the area is not really walkable. It is not in a retail area but the area is attractive and safe. The breakfasts are good but there is no coffee available after 9am during the week and 9:30 on weekends. With no coffee shops in the area, this was a big disappointment.

Good value for the money. Very good breakfast each day and nominal charge for parking. Rooms are a good size and clean. Hotel is not too far from Old Town, but need a car to get there. Easy access to expressway.

We'll be back.
We were very pleased with this hotel and we'll definitely stay here again. We were just in Washington for one day and the price of this hotel was so much better than anywhere else. It was an easy walk to the Metro and the hotel allowed us keep our car in their parking lot even after we had checked out. A few more toiletries would have been nice but not so crucial.
