We were looking for a very relaxing period in beautiful surroundings - and that's exactly what we got.
The entire island is dedicated to this child-free resort, and it is not large - providing enough space for comfort while never being too far away from anything.
We had one of the top-end villas, on a near-private beach at the opposite end of the island to the main resort complex (some 300-400 yards away). It came with dedicated sun-loungers on your own area of lawn, private plunge pool, outdoor day bed under a canopy, and of course a large and comfortable suite.
The views were truly amazing and made the place seem very special. From your bed the line of sight went from lawns in the foreground across a white sand beach to a number of other islands (one of which was used in the film Castaway). It was beautiful.
In all honesty we were lucky with the weather. December to Feb is rainy season but we had a perfect 4 days because a storm missed the islands. At other times of the year were told that the weather is consistently good.
The annoyances came with Wi-Fi that you had to pay for - which generally meant that you were watching the minutes unless you paid significant sums. We were also in the midst of the mating season for the island's exclusive birds. Overnight they make very loud and strange noises as part of their advances. On some nights we had to wear ear plugs - but again the season is limited... and you can't blame the hotel for the wildlife.
There are not enough words for me to describe my experience at this resort. The staff is beyond anything i have ever seen, they are the most wonderful, humble and caring people in the world making our vacation unforgettable thank you, to mention a few Maria, Angela, Josh, Mere, Sera, Serai, Tevita, Neumi, Kelera. The over water bure was beautiful and the view breathtaking, feels like waking up to a picture perfect post card every day. The restaurant is perfectly situated on a scenic area of the resort, the food was grate compliments to the chef was looking forward to my three meals every day. Beautiful Resort nicely situated right on the beach front, really clean and water crystal clear. Just return on 1/15/16
Likuliku Lagoon Resort is a haven of subtle luxury and the first and only resort in Fiji with over-water bures. It is a …More
My stay at Beachcomber was amazing. I was on the island for a week and I got to know members of the staff very well - their service level is exceptional. I stayed in the dorm room, and whilst the beds were close together and not the comfiest, it was still good value for money.
A few negatives: several off the the free activities listed were not available/broken. The ocean trampoline was not there, the kyacks and paddle boards were broken and the snorkelling gear was not the best.
There is a compulsory meal charge on the island which Expedia failed to mention. This was 83FJD per day which is more than I planned I spent on food.
"So glad we chose treasure Island not other islands"
Treasure Island is perfect size with great snorkelling from beach front and around reef dropoff around whole Island. Easy paddle to beachcomber Island where I caught free snorkelling trip to reefs in deep water. Stunning! Food good value a large carte (we took cereals for breakfast)
Loved Mana. The resort was doing some upgrading while we were ther but that didn't cause any issues with our stay. The outdoor shower in our Bure was great! The food was good but expensive. There are other places to eat for less near the village on the south side. Sunset beach is a highlight as well as snorkelling on the north side.
They need to put up more umbrellas and shade sails around the pool, fix the slippery tiles around the pool area ( these are new as well ) and put in some air curtains for the dining areas to stop the annoying amount of flies. Also more ceiling fans in the lobby and dining areas are needed. The kids club is good if they stick to the daily planner, I realize they are on 'Fiji island time' but don't disappoint the kids by telling them it's turtle feeding time and then make them watch a staff member having fun feeding the turtles. Also have a bit more respect for the turtles, handlers were rough!
Overall we loved the island, beach, water and staff. The resort like any could improve in areas.
Bounty Island is surrounded by corals and countless tropical fish. White sand (and shells) and crystal clear water is magnificent. Our hut was 20m from the ocean. If you enjoy peacefulness and snorkeling, this is the perfect place. We stayed there for three nights with our 6 year-old, who wasn't keen on snorkeling at all. She spent most of her time in the pool and loved it. The facility of this resort is very basic but they are building a few more new hut to replace the old ones, so try to book yourself into the new huts if you can. The water on the island had weird taste so we had to buy all the water (FJ$7 per bottle) so if you can bring plenty bottled water with you. They have a compulsory daily charge for food per person which in my opinion is quite expensive for what they offered. One unpleasant experience is that there were bed bugs in our room. Both my husband and I got bitten quite badly. We were so worried about bringing any home with us, we put everything clothing item in the dryer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Easy going days, water crystal clear, lunch menu my favourite big selection and fast service. Well done keeping kids out of adult pool not like castaway adults ignore sign. Wait till they are kids free.

My Husband and I stayed at Lomani Resort for our Honeymoon. All i can say is that its ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Never have my husband and i ever experienced such fantastic service and hotel satisfaction! Its exactly what the photos promise and to be honest the photos simply do not to it justice! I love the fact that everything is done through room charge so it saves carrying around money and it also allows guests to feel like they don't have to tip the staff every time they give you a drink. The fact that its adults only is such a bonus. We went and visited the neighboring resorts and the noise and difference between the resorts is outstanding! Lomani is so quiet and relaxed and the food and drinks are 10/10! it really is 5 star service! Simply the fact that staff know the guests by name is a real first for me and thats what really made my experience so much better.
Activities are included in your stay which really enables you to experience snorkeling and dolphin sighting a real bonus and something i looked forward to every morning. The breakfast is amazing! The management is amazing and overall there was simply nothing i could negatively say about the resort.
Thanks Lomani for a 10/10 honeymoon! we will be back very soon.
A group of small islands offshore from Nadi, the Mamanucas are ringed by sandy beaches, turquoise to pastel green waters, and coral reefs. Access is a quick hop from Nadi via boat or plane transfer, and accommodation options range from budget to luxury, and bures (traditional thatch-roof huts) through to exclusive beachfront villas. Scuba diving and snorkelling in this region comes highly recommended.
