"good base for gozo ferry"
checked into this hotel for a short break, we enjoyed the spa facilities, the food in the bistro and restaurant was great, very tasty, but the breakfast was just ok, could be improved if they had bigger plates, every morning it was just tea plates, by the time you had your toast on it there was no room for anything else so you had to carry 2 plates and your coffee. and it would have been nice to have more choice of fruit, every morning there was only oranges and apples,
The room was basic but large, beds a bit hard, but lots of pillows, handy mini ironing board and iron, tea and coffee making too. mini fridge, tv, and toiletries in the bathroom. plenty of storage and hangers. and a safe to hire.
Reception were always very helpful and pleasant.
The hotel was places brilliantly for travel on the gozo ferry, only a few minuites away, and a bus stop right outside for buses to buggiba terminal, where you could get a bus anywhere on the island. bus tickets are available in buggiba too, for weekly tickets, or 12 journeys. very reasonably priced, definatley the best way to get around the island.
Didn't think much of the hotel beach, but if you can be bothered to walk to paradise bay, its stunning, well worth the walk.
All in all a very good base for a lovely break, and would definatly stay again.
