We booked a room with a sea view, which it had, but the window was quite small and there was no balcony. We enquired at reception and were offered a choice of two rooms with terrace for a small supplement. The room we opted for had a huge terrace with sun loungers and table and chairs, overlooking the beach. All the staff were friendly and helpfull, and the food both at the buffet breakfast and waiter service dinner, was exceptional. The first time I have been to an Hotel with a bed turndown service in many years.

Excellent Hotel in idyllic location

Posted 09-Oct-2015
Pros: The attention to details. Idyllic location with extraordinary seaview and tranquillity
Cons: Sky Sports TV channel and more English TV channels in the room
Location: A gentle stroll along the Pine walk by the side of the sea will take you to the centre of Puerto Pollensa with many restaurants and cafes
Excellent and friendly service and facilities in an atmosphere of always putting the guests first. With the hotel in an idyllic location, a visit to Illa D'Or is an magnificent experience.

A very enjoyable holiday - food excellent, staff very friendly and efficient, lovely location and I will certainly return to this hotel. Perhaps the entertainment in the hotel a night could be improved but overall I had a very enjoyable time.

Lovely hotel on the Pine Walk in porta pollensa

Posted 11-Sep-2015
Pros: Proximity to sea, quiet ambience and good food
Cons: Room cleaning was never done before 2pm.
Location: Only Pne Walk path between Hotel and sea. Great for sea activities and sunbathing. Porta Pollensa very pleasant , good for walking, good bus service
Room with sea view, no balcony but very comfortable. Bath/ shower room not very big but with all requirements. Food was excellent with waiter service at dinner and buffet style breakfast. Clientele very senior but not a problem

Lovely charming hotel

Posted 30-Aug-2015 on Hotels
Travelling as a couple for long weekend stay - revisiting area after 10 years - hotel amazing in quietest spot on pinewalk. Breakfast by edge of sea each morning. Full english or anything else you could imagine. Wonderful location, although recently renovated still retains old style charm. Only downs no kettle in room but that's a very small gripe!! Would highly recommend to anyone including families as area very family friendly and hotel very quiet at night although very close to all restaurants/amenities.

Would not return to the same hotel

Posted 28-Aug-2015
Disappointed with the room, not what I expected from a 4 star hotel. The room we were allocated was very small and the bath tub looked like it was meant for a child, an average adult could not fit in comfortably. WiFi connection was terrible all through the hotel.

Frühstück direkt am Wasser

Posted 25-Aug-2015
Pros: Frühstück direkt am Wasser
Das Hotel wird hauptsächlich von Engländern frequentiert, jedoch sind alle von der angenehmen Sorte.Die Lage des Hotels direkt am Ufer der Bucht ist schon klasse.

Old style glamour with a contemporary twist

Posted 23-Aug-2015
Pros: This hotel is contemporary throughout however it still manages to retain the old style glamour of past eras. The location is lovely.
Cons: Not much! If anything sometimes the service at the bar was a little slow but the hotel was full and they were kept extremely busy!
Location: Excellent location on the quiet edge of the pine walk within walking distance to many lovely restaurants, bars, shops and dive/cycle hire outlets.
Loved this hotel. We had a standard room which was up in the 'attic'; modern, clean and contemporary with a huge bed and very large bathroom with separate walk-in shower. We even had a view of the harbour through the skylight windows. The decor had a nautical edge to it and though neutral had a romantic and homely feel. The location is excellent, on the quieter edge of the Port de Pollensa pine walk within easy walking to lots of very nice restaurants and bars. The hotel bar itself is overlooking the bay and breakfast can also be taken outside on the waters edge. There is a small area for sunbathing at the front of the hotel. we were worried we may not be able to secure a spot as there were a lot of people reserving beds (even though that goes against the hotel policy - no-one was policing it) but there was constant movement throughout the day and we were able to find good spots for sunbathing. There is an outside pool but this is in the shade for the majority of the day. The hotel does have a small fitness room, an indoor pool and a spa but we did not have time to use them. We took a half day trip in the hotel's boat which was very relaxing. It takes a maximum of 12 passengers so it feels very private (only 7 on our trip). The skipper was knowledgeable about the area and we stopped off in a little bay past Formentor for snorkelling and swimming. Although it was the school holidays and there were families staying there, the hotel has a definite adult/couples air about it.

Fantastic stay. Our room was under the eaves, but very comfortable with lovely modern bathroom. Lovely people. We played tennis daily. Great trip.
