Great location and lovely hotel

Posted 22-Apr-2018
Pros: Location, and ambience,.
Location: beautiful views of the sea, nice walks buses to nearby places
my first stay and review on hotel ill a d'or it is in a lovely location by the sea, lovely hotel and friendly staff, We walked into the town which is 20 mins walk along the sea and pine walk. My tip is that if you want a sea view with balcony and want to be situated on the very front of hotel I suggest you email the Hotel and request the room in old part of Hotel here rooms are not quite as big , other than that I would only pay for a side sea view overlooking the pool. Lots of people come back year after year, and its mixed ages., not suitable for young children unless you just want sea and pool..

Lovely location

Posted 04-Apr-2018
Pros: Excellant location, friendly staff, comfortable and clean
Cons: Evening meal would be better if it was a restaurant style
Location: Walks and immediate locality
Excellant hotel in every way except for the buffet evening meal, which we would avoid

Lovely classic hotel

Posted 04-Apr-2018
Pros: Staff, food, facilities and attention to detail.
Location: Quiet location on the pine walk with beautiful view and easy parking
The hotel creates a great environment with attentive staff, great breakfast and dinners, excellent facilities and rooms. They took care of our request for the two rooms that we had booked to be close together. All in all a first class experience.

Lovely hotel with a feeling of the past

Posted 06-Nov-2017 on Ebookers
Pros: Period details
Cons: The sofa bed had no mattress and our daughter had an uncomfortable night on very form base.
Location: Great for trips to Formentor or town centre/market. Alcudia not far away, plenty run or cycle it and the old town is lovely.
Attractive character period hotel but modernised where needed, nice pool, good choice of meals, excellent location for easy walk to town centre/ market/buses etc.

This is one of the most idyllic places within reach for a short flight and 50min car journey from the UK. The 1920's feel with contemporary fittings and facilities. Service is 5 *. The vista from the Gin Bar is beautifully tranquil. A great retreat to re-energise

Perfect Accommodation

Posted 30-Oct-2017
Pros: Position excellent right on the sea front away from noise and shops with bar, tables and sunbeds. Pool and sea swimming available.
Cons: The hotel has been in operation since 1929 and continually modernised to a high standard. Keeping up to date with modernisation is improvement enough.
Location: There is a tennis court available and bikes can be hired from reception. Various trips can be booked. Plenty of shops walks and boat trips.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel reception we knew that we had made a good choice. Reception staff at the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. Our bags were taken to the clean spacious modern room where we given helpful information. There was a kettle with tea and coffee available. There was also a mini bar and la arge tv which included radio stations. Wi-Fi operates throughout the hotel even on the beach front and bar area. We paid a little extra for a balcony and were pleasantly surprised to be able to get a sea view We had chosen half board and there was an extensive choice for breakfast and dinner. One could easily have three to four courses at each sitting as the food was very good indeed. Wine was expensive as expected but they keep the bottle for your next meal. This helps save the pounds and prevents too much alcohol intake so one can appreciate the evenings better The hotel provides bikes and there is a tennis court both of which we were able to enjoy. They were able to arrange a trip at short notice which turned out to be the best guided trip ever. We were very lucky as the coach was almost full and Catalina from the "Nofrills excursions" was brilliant. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and the hotel provided a large display of fruit, flowers and card from the management.
