Fabulous hotel ,

Posted 13-Nov-2016
Pros: Position , size , friendly staff & superb food .
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like .
Location: Right on the waters edge .Flat promenade -10 minute walk into the center .Good selection of small shops , cafes & restaurants .
The position of the hotel was fantastic, right on the waters edge and far enough away from the hustle & bustle of the center .Our room (418 ) was on the side ,with sea view & balcony , ideal for watching some fabulous sunsets .Front rooms tended to become very hot in full sun , as noted by some guests we spoke to. The room was very comfortable , spotlessly clean and well equiped .Staff were very friendly at all times and the food was tasty and beautifully presented - fine dining at its best .We shall certainly return again and would definitely recommend it to those seeking a memorable holiday .

THIS WAS OUR 4TH TIME AT THIS HOTEL- EXCELLENT

Posted 01-Nov-2016
Pros: THE SERVICE BY ALL THE STAFF. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD THIS YEAR.
Cons: THE SINGLE BEDS WERE PLACED TOGETHER. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE WITH A GAP BETWEEN THEM THIS WOULD BE MY ONLY COMPLAINT
Location: THE LOCATION IS FANTASTIC EXCEPT THAT THE LOVELY WALKWAY IS TOO BUMPY FOR MY MOTHERS WHEELCHAIR TO BE ABLE TO WALK TO THE PORT.

Lovely clean apartment with a lovely pool

Posted 31-Oct-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Help with your cases on arrival and check out
Location: Sea /pine walk to Port Pollenca/ bus routes to Alcudia and Pollenca /Formentor
Spent a relaxing week in a lovely apartment overlooking the pool . Thehotel was on the sea front so you could swim in the sea children can play on the beach very safe area .A short stroll takes you to the small town of Port Pollenca where we had some good nights out .There is a Spa which you use freely with a warm pool steam room and sauna .The only downside was that they wanted 30 euros for a late check out so we had to wait 6 1/2 after check out for our transport where as other couples in the same apartments were not asked for 30 euros and allowed to stay 6 more hours . The apartments were closing for the winter so not booked .No help with your cases either on arrival or check out .

Lovely location

Posted 22-Sep-2016
Pros: Location and decor.
Cons: Breakfast service and food. Cheaper drinks and snacks.
Location: Pine walk lovely. Not a lot to do if you are not a sun worshipper. 'No Frills' excursions a good company to use - does what it says on the tin.
Very warm welcome by staff on arrival - were expecting us and everything was ready. Porter very friendly and explained everything about the room well. Rooms very clean and cleaning staff were diligent & friendly. Breakfasts were a bit chaotic - staff friendly but service very inconsitent. Food that was ordered (eggs) were ok but hot food from buffet was never more than warm and once almost cold! Coffee very strong but fine if you ask for a jug of hot water to dilute. Milk in coffee long life i.e. horrible! Snacks and drinks very expensive. Checkout very efficient - well prepared and accurate. New tax levied against tourists explained at check in and again when we checked out and itemised on the bill.

Short stay in the Illa D'Or

Posted 12-Sep-2016
Had booked a romantic short break for a 30th Wedding Anniversary. Wow, what a great hotel. Very accommodating, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony for a reduced rate, thank you so much. I can't recommend it enough. Great staff, great rooms, great food and service. Must save up for a return visit.

A must stay hotel.

Posted 20-Aug-2016
Pros: All the staff were most helpful and special mention to the hard workers of the outside bar.
Location: Perfect location and a lovely walk into town, the hotel can organise everything from its own boat trips to bicycles.
A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is spotless and is kept that way with a very attentive staff. Two swimming pools the sea almost lapping the front door, two restaurants a terrific outdoor bar the list could go on and on.

Super Hotel, perfect location

Posted 12-Aug-2016
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: The lighting in the dining room at night.....too bright
Location: The Pine walk is the perfect location for long walks a bit of shopping, good restaurants and sunbathing
Having traveled to Mallorca many times we had always wanted to stay at the Illa D'or. It didn't disappoint us at all, we managed to secure a room at very later notice and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has been refurbished recently and my only criticism is that there is a lack of colour throughout the hotel and the lighting in the dinning room is far too bright at night.

Beautiful view of bay

Posted 18-Jul-2016
Lovely Hotel in general with great views across the bay and at the quieter end of Pollenca. The room we had been allocated was a bit small and the view was of a wall, we couldn't upgrade as the hotel was full. The staff were very good, always polite and helpful.
